South Grant anticipated everything. Yesterday, she had Dodo and Didi briefed thoroughly, so that after Felicity Grant reported to the police, no matter what the police asked, she would act as if she were too scared to say anything.
Anyway, Marcus Shaw was unconscious and unable to speak, so Felicity Grant could stall, stalling until this morning to relay everything to the police.
Then by noon, when the students were blocking the entrance, everything happened right on ti, allowing all the students and dia to know about Marcus Shaw’s suspected arson, his grandfather’s cover-up, and attempts to evade responsibility by pressuring the principal.
Once the dia exposes them, Marcus Shaw’s grandfather will find it much more difficult to use personal connections or networking behind the scenes.
Especially that old fox, who just claid falsely to earn sympathy that he was frad. Now that he’s been caught lying, nobody will ever believe him again in this era when public opinion prevails. It’s going to be hard for him to recover.
Seeing this great victory, South Grant felt extrely pleased.
Felicity Grant couldn’t go ho for the ti being; she had to cooperate with the police investigation. The Grant Family had already hired a lawyer for her, who advised that Felicity Grant, in this situation, at most, could be considered to have engaged in excessive self-defense.
Moreover, based on the nature of the case, it wouldn’t be impossible to argue a case of self-defense in front of a judge.
It’s just that the exams were imminent, and she was bound to miss them this ti.
However, it was considered her retribution. Had she not harbored malicious intentions at the ti, she wouldn’t have brought about these events.
Without her opening the back door for Marcus Shaw, there wouldn’t have been that massive fire.
So this incident served as a lesson for her, to weigh her actions carefully before committing evil deeds in the future.
After resolving this matter smoothly, South Grant noticed that even now, Nathan Foster hadn’t returned her calls or ssages.
South Grant thought to herself sarcastically that though Nathan had an exterior of a cold and calculating man, inside, he was a proud little princess.
He actually ignored her all this ti.
If he ignored her, she’d ignore him right back. If he won’t talk to her, she’ll talk to him, okay?
South Grant tried calling him, but she still couldn’t get through, so she called Ivan Keller instead.
"Assistant Keller, where’s my uncle?"
"Don’t know."
"What do you an you don’t know? Get him on the phone, I have sothing to discuss."
"Don’t know."
"..." South Grant was speechless after getting two "don’t knows" from him. "Assistant Keller, I just need you to convey a ssage to my uncle, ask him to take my call. I need to talk to him."
"Don’t know." Ivan Keller repeated the sa words.
South Grant was growing frustrated at this point. Was "don’t know" the only phrase Ivan Keller knew?
Holding the phone, South Grant spoke directly to Ivan Keller:
"You don’t know anything? Fine, just wait. I’ll go out and put a hat on his head, I’m off to find the young man from The Lynch Family."
Ivan Keller: "..."
The boss instructed him to just say "don’t know," and nothing else.
Now that he had said it, South Grant was threatening to put a hat on the boss’s head.
What should he do? Awaiting advice, it’s urgent!
Finally, as South Grant was about to end the call, Ivan Keller said: "Young Master South, you might as well just finish off. If the boss cos back and finds out you cuckolded him, it’ll be the end of the world for both of us."
South Grant noticed the phrasing Ivan Keller used, ntioning Nathan Foster’s return. Where could he have gone?
