Victory in the second battle!

Victory in the third battle!

Victory in the fourth battle!

Then Ling Chen continued to win five matches, racking up six wins in a row.

"This kid is incredibly skilled. Warriors of the sa rank can’t last three rounds against him," one of the deacons from the Underground Martial Arena remarked in surprise from the viewing stand.

"He is indeed a tough opponent. He’s unfazed and uncannily composed after six battles. We have to send soone of at least the Seventh Realm to fight him."

"We have no other choice."

The deacons unanimously decided to send a warrior of the Seventh Realm to fight Ling Chen.

「The seventh battle.」

Ling Chen’s opponent was a burly man wielding a teor Hamr. His muscular physique was both daunting and formidable.

"Liang Yue."

The burly man announced his na, then abruptly lifted his teor Hamr and swung it harshly at Ling Chen.

"Liang Yue is a warrior of the Seventh Realm, a whole realm higher than Ling Chen. I’m afraid Ling Chen’s winning streak is going to end," a warrior in the audience sighed, observing the ferocious Liang Yue on the stage.

"Not only that, Liang Yue’s robust stature is exceptional. This battle probably won’t hold any suspense."

Another spectator also believed that the outco was virtually decided.

"I bet a hundred taels on Liang Yue’s victory!"

"I’m betting two hundred taels!"

BUZZ!

Unmindful of the clamorous crowd, Liang Yue swung his hefty hamr, causing the surrounding air to tremble. Its terrifying force swept past Ling Chen; a slight delay in response would have resulted in his head being blasted open.

"Wind and Fire Hamr Technique!"

Liang Yue wielded the hamr with both hands. It must have weighed nearly a hundred pounds and looked incredibly imposing. Fierce winds accompanied by blazing fire constantly targeted Ling Chen.

Ling Chen, who hadn’t unsheathed his sword yet, sidestepped to dodge the ferocious attacks.

The Wind and Fire Hamr Technique, although only classified as Lower Grade Human-level Martial Arts, was executed exceptionally well by Liang Yue. Each hamr strike was more powerful than the last, attempting to force Ling Chen into a retreat.

BUZZ!

In the next mont, Ling Chen finally made his move. Instead of drawing his sword, he used his sword’s scabbard. This rapid attack struck Liang Yue’s teor Hamr squarely, deflecting it with minimal effort.

THUMP!

Ling Chen spun around and kicked Liang Yue squarely in the chest, knocking him off the stage.

The seventh battle, victory!

The audience below the stage fell silent, utterly stunned.

Liang Yue hadn’t even made Ling Chen draw his sword; he was defeated by the scabbard alone. And it was widely known that Liang Yue’s Martial Realm was superior to Ling Chen’s.

"This young man is intriguing," the gold-robed leader of the Black Market mused, resting his chin on his hand as he watched Ling Chen with interest.

"Let , Zuo Wangsun, challenge him!"

Before any arrangents were made, a young man dressed in a purple robe leaped onto the stage, his sharp gaze fixed on Ling Chen.

"It’s Zuo Wangsun, a promising youth from the Zuo Family! He’s not to be compared with Liang Yue. While Liang Yue is just a wandering Jianghu warrior, Zuo Wangsun cos from a respected family. His cultivation, talent, and accomplishnts in Martial Arts far exceed Liang Yue’s."

"Hmm, even if he can’t win, he should at least prompt the kid to use ninety percent of his power," one of the deacons comnted.

The deacons all nodded in agreent, shifting their attention to Zuo Wangsun.

"Draw your sword," Zuo Wangsun said. "Otherwise, I’m afraid you won’t get the chance."

Being from an aristocratic family, Zuo Wangsun possessed an innate arrogance. He was confident he was Ling Chen’s equal. If Ling Chen were disadvantaged because he delayed drawing his sword, any victory Zuo Wangsun achieved would feel hollow.

"If you have the strength to make draw my sword, it will naturally leave its scabbard," Ling Chen replied calmly.

"Haha, this Underground Martial Arena is no place for friendly sparring; it’s a place of Life and Death! Arrogance will cost you your life here."

As his words fell, Zuo Wangsun moved. Advancing with quick steps, he unleashed his unique technique, the "Four Swords of the Ghost Gate," attacking Ling Chen with lightning speed.

"The Four Swords of the Ghost Gate is a Top-notch Human-level Martial Arts and an inherited swordsmanship of the Zuo Family. Zuo Wangsun has imrsed himself in it for a long ti; now, unleashing its four signature moves, there wasn’t a single feint, and he displayed at least ninety percent of its power," one of the deacons remarked, a satisfied smile on his face.

"So young, and already possessing such a profound understanding of a Top-notch Human-level Martial Arts. Impressive. If Ling Chen continues to underestimate him, he will undoubtedly lose," another deacon also relaxed and said with a smile.

At this mont, the leader of the Black Market suddenly narrowed his eyes and turned to the deacon. "What did you say his na was? Ling Chen?"

"Indeed," the deacon answered respectfully.

"Is it the Ling Chen from the Divine Intent Sect?"

"He’s wearing a mask, so we can’t be sure. But according to our intelligence, there’s a very good chance it’s him," another deacon, responsible for intelligence, stepped forward to say.

Upon hearing this, surprise flickered across everyone’s faces.

"Are you sure it’s him? I heard that this Ling Chen had his ridians completely ruined and lost all his martial arts during that great upheaval at the Divine Intent Sect. How has he beco so vigorous after barely two months?"

"It is indeed perplexing, but it’s the truth. Ling Chen’s strength is recovering at an astonishing rate. He’s reached this stage in just two months," the previous deacon said, shaking his head. If not for the intelligence reports, he too would find it hard to believe.

"Hehe, worthy of being Ling Tianyu’s son. Interesting, very interesting." The Black Market leader’s smile deepened, his interest in Ling Chen intensifying.

anwhile, on the stage, the fight had reached a fever pitch.

CLANG!

A flash of white light—a sword gleam parried the Treasure Sword Zuo Wangsun was bringing down. Ling Chen had finally drawn his sword.

"Ghost Gate Wraith!"

Zuo Wangsun, fully focused, launched the final move of the "Four Swords of the Ghost Gate." His figure seed to vanish abruptly, leaving only a trail of black smoke.

The real Zuo Wangsun had already lunged with his sword toward Ling Chen’s back.

"I’ve won!" A joyful expression appeared on Zuo Wangsun’s face.

However, before his sword could connect, Ling Chen suddenly turned, as if he had eyes in the back of his head, and lightly evaded the strike.

"What?"

Zuo Wangsun’s expression changed drastically. Before he could react, a cold, gleaming long sword was at his neck.

"I lost." His killing move thwarted and unable to move, Zuo Wangsun was utterly dejected, a stark contrast to his earlier arrogance.

Zuo Wangsun’s surrender was t with a wave of cheers from below the stage.

"Eight victories in a row!"

The deacons exchanged glances; none had expected Ling Chen to achieve such a streak.

"It’s ti to end his winning streak."

The Underground Martial Arena didn’t casually allow a ten-win streak. Each one was an honor they bestowed, representing the arena’s prestige, and couldn’t be awarded lightly.

"Who should we send? We can’t afford any mistakes in this next fight." Several deacons frowned; Ling Chen’s unexpected victories had undoubtedly disrupted their plans.

"Send Cao ng up."

At this, the Black Market leader, who had been silent, finally spoke.

"Cao ng? That guy is an Eighth Level warrior. Isn’t that a bit of an overkill?" The deacons seed taken aback.

"Overkill? I assure you, this is definitely not overkill. Just watch." A faint, enigmatic smile touched the Black Market leader’s lips.

"Alright, we’ll follow the leader’s wishes. Let Cao ng battle."

The deacons reached an agreent. This Ling Chen truly could not be underestimated.

"This kid is a serious threat."

Below the stage, a young man in black narrowed his eyes, a flicker of murderous intent in their depths.

This young man in black was none other than Feng Chong, assigned to Wucheng by Yun Tianhe. When he first received this assignnt, he hadn’t taken it seriously. In his view, the forr Ling Chen might have been worth his personal attention, but the current one? There was simply no need for him to act. Now, it seed he had been gravely mistaken—utterly wrong.
