Xuan Yu’s pretty face was a mask of complete shock. She recalled i Fangzhi’s usual deanor; he couldn’t possibly be the kind of person Ling Zhen described.
"You shouldn’t have done this either. The Villa Owner must have had his compelling reasons for acting that way."
Xuan Yu took a deep breath, calming her emotions.
"Compelling reasons? What reasons? To avoid staining his lifelong reputation?"
A hint of mockery touched Ling Zhen’s lips. "Shouldn’t such a sanctimonious hypocrite be punished?"
Xuan Yu wanted to argue further, but Ling Chen stopped her, stating calmly, "There’s no need for more words. Quickly ask him who is behind this."
Ling Chen had a feeling that Ling Zhen was deliberately stalling. If this dragged on too long, sothing unexpected might happen.
Hearing this, Xuan Yu imdiately nodded. "Junior Ling Zhen, I know you couldn’t have done this alone. Who is manipulating you from behind the scenes? This person has sinister intentions. If we can capture him, it might lessen your culpability."
"Capture him? The three of you combined are no match for my Master."
A strange smile spread across Ling Zhen’s face. He then suddenly looked at a point in the sky not far behind him and grinned. "My Master is here!"
As his voice fell, the expressions of Ling Chen, Xuan Yu, and Ling Yin changed dramatically. They followed Ling Zhen’s gaze and saw a blood cloud moving rapidly towards them through the nearby sky, its speed astonishing.
"What is that?" Xuan Yu exclaid.
Her eyes widened drastically. Within the blood cloud, she could faintly discern a human silhouette. Simultaneously, an astonishingly malevolent aura descended, making one’s vision turn blood-red. This aura was so oppressive it muddled the mind, and one’s consciousness seed to steadily sink, as if plunging into an abyss.
Even Ling Chen, with his firm will, was nearly overwheld by this malevolent aura, taking several minutes to regain his composure. By then, Ling Yin had already positioned herself in front of him and Xuan Yu. Her small hands ford seals in rapid succession, creating an invisible Array Formation around them, which effectively shielded them from the terrifying Blood Fiend’s aura that threatened to crush their very life force.
With the protection of this invisible Array Formation, Ling Chen and Xuan Yu were able to remain completely unaffected by the Blood Fiend’s will.
Xuan Yu gazed in astonishnt at the petite figure before her. She finally understood why Ling Chen had brought Ling Yin along. First, Ling Yin had pinpointed Ling Zhen’s location in the vast darkness, and now, she was blocking a Blood Fiend’s aura that Xuan Yu herself could not withstand. This little girl’s strength was astonishing; she was clearly no ordinary young maiden.
Taking advantage of Ling Chen’s group being montarily focused on the defense within the Array Formation, the blood figure in the sky exerted a sudden pull, sucking Ling Zhen up from the ground through the air.
"Stop him!" Ling Chen shouted.
He would not let the blood figure take Ling Zhen away. Stomping his foot, his body shot out like a bolt of lightning, rushing to a position tens of ters in front of the blood figure. Then, he thrust his sword forward fiercely.
His Sword Light was as swift as a gale, like a streak of lightning, reaching the blood figure in the blink of an eye.
However, the blood figure, enveloped in a bloody glow, rely extended a Blood Hand and abruptly seized the Sword Light Ling Chen had launched. Then, with a sudden clench of its hand, it actually crushed the Sword Light into nothing!
"What?"
Ling Chen’s pupils contracted sharply. He knew the power of his Sword Light better than anyone. He hadn’t imagined this blood figure’s strength would be so terrifying that it could shatter his Sword Light with a single hand!

Seeing Ling Chen fall, Ling Yin and Xuan Yu quickly moved to catch him. But as soon as they touched him, an imnse force struck them, causing both to vomit blood and be thrown backward as well.
A single palm strike had injured all three of them.
"Three fools! I told you, you are no match for my Master!"
A gloating smile covered Ling Zhen’s face. He had witnessed the blood figure’s power before; even an expert at the peak of the Sky Apex Realm Ninth Level like i Fangzhi might not be its match, let alone these three re juniors like Ling Chen.
Xuan Yu’s pretty face turned pale as she said, "We’re done for. This blood figure is an expert. Its aura is no weaker than our Villa Owner’s. "You’re... Xie Zhiqiu!" Ling Chen cried out the figure’s na.
This blood figure was none other than Xie Zhiqiu, whom Ling Chen had nearly killed back at the Saint Witch Religion. Or, to be more precise, this person should be the Undying Old Demon.
After being defeated and fleeing from Magic Fog Mountain in disarray, the Undying Old Demon had fled Cloud Outland and escaped to the Nine Provinces Land, where he had hidden to recover from his grievous injuries.
The Undying Old Demon had been severely injured back then, but his self-healing ability was incredibly strong. Moreover, he was once a Magic Way Saint who had dominated the Nine Provinces Land, possessing countless formidable demonic techniques. He not only captured warriors everywhere, using evil arts to absorb their Vital Energy and cultivation power, but he also tad Heart-devouring Beasts to serve him. "Of course, I know him," the Undying Old Demon replied with a cold smile. "Not only do I know him, I almost died at this boy’s hands."

Ling Zhen stared at Ling Chen in shock. In his eyes, the Undying Old Demon was invincible, his demonic cultivation at its zenith. He couldn’t believe that such a formidable figure had nearly died at Ling Chen’s hands!
