The Housekeeper gave her an encouraging look, “That would be great. The Old Lord hasn’t had much appetite these past few days and hasn’t eaten much. It would be wonderful if you could get the Old Lord to eat sothing. We’ll be in your care then, Ms. Clark.”
Enna gave him an OK sign, “Don’t worry, I’ll take good care of Grandpa and make sure he eats.”
After giving her a deep look, the Housekeeper hurried away.
As he walked, he pondered whether it was right to take the initiative to have Ms. Clark take care of the Old Lord. The Old Lord wasn’t easy to get along with, and he was reluctant to acknowledge Ms. Clark. Beyond that, the most eye-catching detail was the neatly arranged rows of radiant gemstones on the shelf next to the sofa, each one gleaming and clearly valuable.
Underneath the shelf were exquisitely carved red sandalwood tea sets, displaying the taste and character of the person who lived there.
Not finding the Old Master in the living room, Enna carried the porridge, wondering which room might be his bedroom.
Then she heard a low cough coming from the room in the middle.
