Upon seeing this arrangent, Enna Clark knew he must have arranged for the driver to wait there in advance, which made her even more curious about where he was going to take her.
The Lincoln was famous among luxury cars for its spacious and comfortable interior, and the ride was smooth throughout.
Soon, it stopped at a quieter intersection in the downtown area.
The driver parked across the street, quickly got out of the car, and opened the door with respect, saying, “Lord, we’ve arrived.”
“Enna Clark, get out of the car.” Baron Lawrence got out first.
Enna followed him, stepping out of the car as well.
Around this intersection, there didn’t seem to be anything special, neither a club entrance nor hotels, and she couldn’t figure out why Baron Lawrence had the car stop here.
“Lord, here’s the item you requested.” The driver handed over a black lettered cap and a pair of sunglasses.
“Hmm,” Baron Lawrence took them, then promptly put them on his head.
Once he pressed the cap’s brim down, it imdiately covered most of his handso face, and with the sunglasses on, pretty much only the curve of his chin was exposed.
Enna had never seen him gear up voluntarily like this, and before she could co to her senses, her left hand was already being held by his burning hot hand.
Baron Lawrence held her hand, feeling the boneless warmth of her palm, and with what seed to be a good mood, he curved his rose-colored thin lips and said pleasantly, “Let’s go.”
Enna had no choice but to keep up with him.
With his tall figure and long legs, for every step he took, Enna had to take a step and a half to keep up. Fortunately, Baron Lawrence seed to notice this and didn’t walk too fast.
Following him across the street, there was an imdiate sense of having entered another world.
Compared to the quiet on the other side of the road, this place was bustling with activity. The street was full of groups of young people, and various shops stood shoulder to shoulder.
It appeared to be the pedestrian street in the city center.
Enna hadn’t strolled through the streets for a long ti, let alone walked hand in hand with soone like this, and a feeling of nostalgia ca over her.
She couldn’t help but take a few extra glances at the various shops along the street.
“What’s being sold there?” she asked involuntarily about a shop in front of which people were coming and going.
Baron Lawrence looked in the direction she was referring to, and indeed, many people were queuing up. Seeing her interest, he pulled her towards it without a word, “Let’s go and find out!”
They joined the queue at the very end, with more than ten people ahead of them.
After a few minutes, Enna was worried he might get impatient, hesitated, and said, “There are so many people, Baron Lawrence, let’s forget it, we don’t have to look.”
“We’re already here, and there’s no hurry.” After all, she wanted to see it! If she wanted to look, they would look!
He was tall, seed thin and had long legs. Even with a cap on, and his face not fully visible, the girls in the queue couldn’t resist turning their heads when they heard him speaking to Enna.
Upon seeing him, they clearly hesitated, and a glint of admiration flashed in their eyes.
Then a few girls huddled together, and whatever they said made them burst out in giggles.
While laughing, they kept stealing glances in their direction.
Enna noticed that most of their sneaky looks were directed at Baron Lawrence!
With a headache, she looked up again and spoke softly, “But it looks like it’s going to be a long wait, and I don’t want to stand in line anymore.”
Baron Lawrence frowned, irritated by the chattering of the won in front, enough to make him want to tell them to shut up. Hearing Enna’s words, his deep obsidian eyes narrowed, and he released her hand, insisting firmly, “You go wait on the side, I’ll wait in line!”
