Chapter 1096: Chapter 1096: It was who didn’t let Uncle Harris tell you Chapter 1096: Chapter 1096: It was who didn’t let Uncle Harris tell you Ding-a-ling—
The doorbell chid from the entrance.
Enna Clark imdiately got up, “I’ll get the door.”
She hastened over, opened the door, and saw a tiny figure imdiately leap into her arms, “Kitty~ Kitty~”
It was a soft little body, and the familiar babyish voice— who else could it be if not her little Bobby?
“Gigi? Bobby? What are you guys doing here?” Enna Clark was extrely surprised, she hadn’t anticipated Bobby and Gigi’s visit at all.
Scott Harris, who followed behind, felt his heart leap into his throat, as if he were on his way to the gallows. The corners of his mouth were too tense to manage a smile.
He knew he had to face it eventually, unsure how Baron Lawrence would punish him.
Tobias Clark, seeing his little Bobby let go of his hand the next second to rush into Enna Clark’s arms, felt a mix of sullenness and a tickling sensation. Looking at Enna Clark’s embrace, he said, “It’s because you keep not coming back. I said if you didn’t return within a week, I would co to find you!”
“But it hasn’t been a week yet…” She had only arrived in Country W four days ago.
“By Capital City’s ti, it has been five days, which counts as a week,” Tobias Clark said confidently.
Capital City’s latitude is fairly high, so by its ti, Enna Clark had left on the evening of the first day, and now it was day five, which indeed made a week!
He didn’t feel the slightest bit guilty about his logic, even making bold assertions, “Woman, don’t you want to see us?”
“Of course not,” Enna Clark pulled him into her embrace, her eyes curving joyfully, “I’ve missed you too.”
“I didn’t say I missed you…” Bobby suddenly found himself in a warm embrace, his tense little face suddenly relaxed, showing a petulant and proud expression suitable for a 7-year-old, as he murmured under his breath.
Though he grumbled, his body honestly didn’t struggle, letting Enna Clark hold him.
Enna Clark embraced the two little ones, one on each side, feeling overwheld in arms and heart alike.
It had only been four days, but she truly missed them a lot. If it weren’t for Baron Lawrence having a wound on his back, she would have wished to return to their side imdiately.
She hadn’t expected that they would co to her instead.
Wait, co on their own?
Enna Clark let go of the two little ones and asked uneasily, “Bobby, did you co here by yourselves? How did you get here? Did Mr. Harris send you over?”
If Scott Harris brought them, why hadn’t Baron Lawrence ntioned anything about it?
Bobby calmly denied it, “No, Grandpa had soone bring us over.”
Baron Lawrence also ca over, and upon hearing his words, his piercing gaze instantly fell on Scott Harris, the look in his eyes cold and sharp, “What’s going on?”
Why hadn’t he received any news about the Old Man bringing Tobias and Gigi over?
And who had the audacity to agree to send them over?
Scott Harris, locked by his penetrating gaze, felt his throat dry up involuntarily, utterly clueless about how to explain.
Because the Old Lord had ordered not to tell the Baron? Or because the Young Master had ordered not to tell the Baron? Or was it that he had been watched by the Young Master all the way and had no chance to inform the Baron?
He felt that no matter which of the three explanations he used, the outco awaiting him would not be good.
Just as he was steeling himself to withstand the man’s fury, Bobby’s voice interrupted, “I told Uncle Harris not to tell you.”
Baron Lawrence turned his gaze to him.
