Scarlett bit her teeth, anger flooding her almond eyes.
She had waited another five minutes and glanced down at her phone again, the banquet was less than half an hour away. Her patience was running nearly empty, and she was about to pick up her phone to call her dad.
Just at that mont, suddenly, a Porsche pulled up next to her car.
“Your Highness, could it be Young Master Westbrook arriving?” the driver asked urgently.
Scarlett looked up and through the car window.
She first noticed a pair of long legs as a man got out of the Porsche; looking up, she saw the simple black suit paired with a black shirt, and then, an angelic face!
Even though the suit was entirely black, it didn’t make him seem stark or stiff. Instead, his physique and handso features created a unique aura of mystery and aloofness. Just like his peach blossom eyes, which exuded a sense of passion while simultaneously seeming indifferent, seizing people’s attention in an instant!
Scarlett had not expected the man who arrived to be so handso, so captivating that one could not look away.
She had heard about that woman having a son before, but had never seen him; if not for her dad’s orders, she wouldn’t even have wanted to et him.
Before she had seen him, she guessed that he wouldn’t be unattractive.
After all, considering that woman’s beauty, it was impossible for her son to be anywhere near ugly.
But she hadn’t expected him to be so strikingly handso, so dazzling!
As she was stunned by Lyle Westbrook’s appearance, he had already approached her car door and tapped on her window with his knuckles twice.
“Your Highness, it’s Young Master Westbrook! Young Master Westbrook has co!” the driver reminded her excitedly.
Scarlett rolled down the window and t those seemingly affectionate yet indifferent peach blossom eyes, “Get out.”
The two indifferent words carried no discernible emotion.
The driver by now had already exited the car and hurriedly opened the door for her.
Dressed to the nines, Scarlett got out of the car.
She wore a peach-red evening gown today, which while elegant, also revealed a playful girlishness. Her skin was exceptionally pale, like Enna’s, so the peach-red, which could easily look tacky, appeared lively and bright on her. The skirt was designed in a puffy style, making her seem as if Princess Belle from a fairy tale had just stepped out of the story.
“You finally ca. I thought you wouldn’t co,” she said.
Just now she was on the brink of losing her temper, and the driver thought she was about to throw a fit. He even felt a little worried, but it turned out his concern was completely unfounded. The Princess didn’t throw a fit at Young Master Westbrook at all. Her tone of speaking was entirely that of a girl’s mild reproach.
Lyle Westbrook gave her just a glance and said indifferently, “Got held up by sothing, I’m late.”
He gave Scarlett no chance to speak, simply stating, “Let’s go.”
Having said that, he didn’t wait for Scarlett and turned to leave.
This was the second ti Scarlett had been so blatantly disregarded by a man, and this man was also her nominal brother. Furious as she was, she knew how to behave appropriately in the situation, forcibly suppressing her instant astonishnt and the embarrassnt of being ignored, lifting her dress’s hem and following him.
With only a little over twenty minutes left, the female stars were all trying their hardest to be the show-stopper, and the one currently walking on the red carpet was more of a heavy hitter than the last, each more beautifully dressed than the next.
