Chapter 1185: Chapter 1185: You Took My Words as a Breeze Past Your Ears Chapter 1185: Chapter 1185: You Took My Words as a Breeze Past Your Ears The sunlight outside the window spilled over the man, a tallic gleam layering his delicate features, making his distinct facial structure even more pronounced. Despite his gentle and elegant appearance, akin to an angel, his peach blossom eyes carried a dispassionate chill, devoid of any hint of emotion.
It was Lyle Westbrook!
Why would Lyle Westbrook co to her ho?
Scarlett just happened to et the man’s gaze as he looked her way, taken aback montarily. Before she could collect herself, he had already diverted his gaze. Standing up, he said, “Now that Prince Willie has returned, I won’t impose any further.”
“Lyle, stay for a while longer, don’t mind . I am going upstairs to talk to your sister,” Prince Willie said to him warmly, not at all like the estrangent rumored of him, his princess consort, and her son from a previous marriage. Glancing at the breathtakingly beautiful woman beside him, he said, “Wilow has barely had the chance to see you. Stay and at least have a drink with her.”
Without a change in expression, Lyle answered indifferently, “I’ve already had so water, so I’ll take my leave.”
Prince Willie knew Lyle’s reluctance to stay was because he had brought Scarlett back, looking as if there was sothing amiss, and thus, Lyle didn’t want to intrude.
At a loss for how to explain, he cast a helpless glance at the woman beside him.
Wilow Kirk exuded the utmost grace and nobility, her appearance slightly resembling Lyle’s, yet her deanor was even more aloof and detached.
Her brows furrowed slightly, but she did not insist he stay, only saying, “Take care on your way.”
If not for the fact that Willie knew she had been longing to see Lyle for quite so ti, he might think she didn’t care much for her own son.
Lyle gave a slight nod, acknowledgent enough, and strode away with long steps, not looking back.
“Lyle…” Willie’s deep blue eyes betrayed a hint of urgency, wanting to persuade him to stay for her.
But the beautiful, ageless woman held him back, “Let it be, if he wants to go, let him.”
“But you…”
“He will be in Country W for a while, I’ll have another chance to see him.”
And with that, Prince Willie dropped the matter.
Turning her head, Wilow looked toward Scarlett at the stairway, asking, “What’s the matter with Scarlett?”
Scarlett’s heart skipped a beat, her gaze toward Wilow turning unfavorable.
Whenever this woman was present, her daddy always seed especially dissatisfied with her, largely due to the woman’s instigation.
Willie’s mood imdiately soured at the ntion, and his face darkened, “You ask her what she did!”
“Daddy, you have to tell what I did before I can know,” retorted a deeply aggrieved Scarlett.
Willie, unable to contain his anger, slapped the table, “You have the nerve to ask! Don’t you have any idea what you’ve done?”
“How many tis have I told you, you are a princess, a mber of the royal family. You enjoy the taxes paid by the people and must take on the corresponding responsibilities! I don’t expect you to do exceedingly well, but at the very least, you should be a person with sound worldviews, setting a good example for others! You’ve completely ignored my words!”
Scarlett defended herself even more aggrievedly, “I rushed around for charity, donating all the earnings from my event participation to the welfare institution. I don’t think I failed to be a good example.”
“Is your idea of a good example to declare your selection criteria for a partner unreservedly in front of reporters and the dia? And that standard just so happens to be Baron Lawrence of the Lawrence Family? Hm? Are you ignorant of the scandal you’ve caused? And you choose this ti to reveal such information?”
