Then she turned back to Scott Harris, “Mr. Harris, could you wait outside for for a mont? I’ll be right out.”
Scott Harris was originally reluctant to let her go in alone, but thinking about how she had behaved at the abandoned factory earlier that day, his concerns eased considerably. He did not insist on going in with her. “All right, I’ll wait outside for Miss Clark. Call if you need anything.”
“Okay, I know,” Enna replied.
With that, Enna pushed the door open and went in.
The People’s Hospital of Country W was overflowing with people. Normally, soone who had to visit the ergency room for an IV drip like Tessa Wilson would not have gotten a room.
But because of Enna Clark’s special status, Scott Harris pulled so strings to secure a private room for her.
At that mont, the person lying on the hospital bed had a sallow complexion and looked exceptionally exhausted. Especially against the stark white bed sheets, her worn-out appearance was even more pronounced, as if she’d aged over a decade in an instant.
Enna herself pulled up a chair and sat down beside the bed.

She didn’t know what else to say besides sorry and thank you.

It was Princess Scarlett’s people who found that day and asked to distract the security guard and let soone in. She thought by doing a small favor for this person, she would owe her a favor and later on, she could ask for so help in return.
Given their status, getting a promotion or a pay raise was just a matter of a sentence for them.
So she agreed like a person possessed, following their instructions and using the excuse that she saw a suspicious person lingering around the kitchen to distract the security guard that day.
After that, the charity dinner incident exceeded her wildest expectations.
She realized the seriousness of the situation.
But she still harbored a sliver of hope, thinking nobody would trace it back to her.
