There was no faint light flashing, which would indicate a successful transmission, as Bobby described.
“Huff~” Enna furrowed her brows, tried several tis, but still, no response. With a headache welling up, she took a deep breath and then, as if rembering sothing, she took out the listening device hidden behind her ear.
If the listening device was also broken, then all her efforts today would have been in vain. Moreover, after this incident, Scarlett would surely be more vigilant than before, and Enna would have no chance of extracting information from her again.
Enna’s heartbeat quickened involuntarily, but when she saw that the listening device was still blinking with operational light, her suspended heart finally settled down.

Scarlett first saw her checking the watch, not knowing what she was pressing, and then after a while, she saw her take sothing out from behind her ear, all of which began to unsettle her. Now that Enna was looking at her, Scarlett’s unease amplified infinitely. Not waiting for Enna to speak, she issued a preemptive threat, “What are you planning to do? I’m warning you, don’t even think about deceiving the directors. You should know who I am; to offend is to have no good end.”
“Were the events before not considered as ‘good end’ in the Princess’s view?” Enna’s retort was indifferent and composed.
