Compared to the ticulous way he tied Enna Clark’s harness, he was much more efficient and brisk when rigging himself.
First, he slipped a safety harness over his arms and then secured it around his waist.
Baron Lawrence’s waist was of the type that looked slim clothed but was muscular undressed. Even though Enna had seen his abdominal V-lines before, she was still astounded by how attractive his waist looked when he bound the harness around it.
Especially when his black shirt stretched tight, the hint of his V-lines was vaguely visible, making it hard to look away.
Her gaze couldn’t help but wander there.
Baron Lawrence didn’t notice her little action as he lifted his leg onto a nearby stool and deftly secured the lower part of the harness around his thigh.
His bowed head caused a few strands of hair to fall onto his forehead, drawing involuntary attention to his fan-like eyelashes.
Baron Lawrence’s eyelashes were indeed beautiful, and even Enna, being a woman, couldn’t help but envy them.
She wondered how he grew such long and perfectly curled eyelashes, each one so distinct and just right.
His eyes were beautiful on their own, and with such thick, curly lashes, it was almost unfair to others.
Her gaze drifted down from his lashes to his full, rose-colored lips.
They say a man looks his best when he’s serious!
A handso man becos simply lethal when he’s serious!
Baron Lawrence was exactly that type of lethally attractive man.
Enna was staring, lost in thought.
She didn’t notice that the domineering man had already fastened his safety harness and, looking up, saw her.
“What are you looking at?”
“Ah…” Enna imdiately snapped out of it, reacting quickly, “Oh… I was watching how you tied it.”
Baron Lawrence didn’t realize she had been watching for so long, so he didn’t think too much of it. His sharp eyes fixed on her as he frowned and asked, “Have you checked it? Is it tight enough?”
“Yes, I’ve checked it, it’s tight,” she said to prove her point, even walking back and forth a bit.
Baron Lawrence abruptly pulled her in, yanking her into his embrace.
“Uh.” Enna, caught off guard, crashed into his chest, her ear pressed right against his left pectoral.
Thump thump thump thump!
The strong heartbeat sounded suddenly in her ears.
It felt like it was striking directly against her heart.
Just as Enna was about to push him away, his voice ca from above her head, “Don’t move, I’m helping you tie the rope.”
Tie the rope? What rope?
Enna cald the thumping in her chest and looked down.
Sure enough, she saw the safety rope with the steel carabiner on her waist being adjusted.
While she was still wondering what was the point of the rope, Scott Harris’s voice already echoed in the cabin, “Ms. Clark, Lord, we’ve arrived.”
“I’m now going to descend the helicopter a certain distance. You have five minutes. I will open the hatch, please get ready,” he said.
Even if Enna was slow to catch on, she vaguely guessed what was coming. She instinctively grabbed the man’s lapel and asked, “Baron Lawrence, what does Mr. Harris an by get ready?”
“To jump down!”
Blunt and straightforward!

Enna’s ears rang with a buzzing sound.
“Jump down?” What kind of joke was that?
She didn’t want to.
“There won’t be any problems, I’ll be right behind you. You don’t have a heart condition, nor do you have any sudden acute illnesses, so there’s no need to be afraid,” he assured.
