That you actually have no feelings for him and hope I can make him leave you?!”

Picking up her purse from beside her, she couldn’t stay a second longer and stood up, saying, “Since it’s a misunderstanding, I’ve disturbed Ms. Lewis this afternoon, I’ll take care of the coffee money, I have matters to attend to, and must leave now.”
She really couldn’t stand to stay another second, fearful that if she stayed, the impeccable image she had always maintained would be ruined right there.
