Chapter 1581: Chapter 1581: Enna Clark, I Might Go Bankrupt
15 minutes later.
Enna Clark returned to Baron Lawrence’s house in Birch Garden.
The houses here, although not detached villas, are priced similarly. They also boast a considerable size, with a floor area approaching 4,500 square feet, and the interior decoration is nothing less than villa-grade. Coupled with the desirable location, excellent greenery, and security, Birch Garden is a well-known wealthy area.
Baron Lawrence had gone straight to the bathroom to shower upon returning.
The sound of water whooshing filled the bedroom.
Soon enough, he erged with a bathrobe on, his hair still dripping wet.
“Go take a shower, I’ll wait for you.”
With a white towel in hand, wiping the droplets from his hair, his chiseled features were strikingly handso, and the grey velour bathrobe he wore only amplified his commanding presence. Especially when the water droplets slid down from his hair, it was impossible to look away.
Too sexy!
Enna Clark quickly averted her gaze and hurried into the bathroom.
She deliberately took her ti, spending nearly an hour in the shower before coming out.
Then, she dawdled for ages, slowly making her way to the bedroom.
By the ti she erged, the man who had been drying his hair had already done so and was lying in bed. Seeing her, he flipped the covers aside and patted the bed, “I thought you were planning to spend the night in the bathroom! Co here.”
Enna Clark, sensing his discontent, took a deep breath and approached.
No sooner had she lain down than her arm was pulled away, and the man lying beside her rolled over, propping himself above her. Without any chance to dodge, he bent down dominantly and kissed her intensely.
This kiss was nothing like the slow, deliberate one they shared on the rooftop earlier that evening. It was urgent, as though trying to prove sothing, fervent like a firestorm, pulling her into a vortex of indulgence.
Enna Clark instinctively responded, eliciting an even deeper, more tempestuous kiss.
Finally, the kiss ended.
She felt as if all the oxygen in her brain had been squeezed out, leaving her dazed and her body limp like a puddle.
The man looming over her didn’t rush to do anything else, his dark pupils fixated on her as if to etch her into his heart.
Suddenly.
He called out, “Enna Clark.”
Enna, a bit dizzy from the lack of oxygen, was not truly unconscious. She instinctively humd in response, her bright eyes turning towards him.
Baron Lawrence’s thin lips tightened fiercely, his imperious gaze locking onto her, as he said deliberately, “Enna Clark, I might go bankrupt.”
——Enna Clark, I might go bankrupt!
——I might go bankrupt!
——Bankrupt!
Enna Clark was montarily stunned, coming back to her senses.
Baron Lawrence might go bankrupt?
His eagle eyes narrowed, his lips touched lightly, and he continued, “No matter what happens tomorrow, don’t panic. Trust ! Don’t lose control, do you hear ?”
“…What do you an? What’s going to happen tomorrow?” Enna Clark vaguely felt that sothing was amiss.
“Just rember what I’ve told you, that’s all you need to do, trust !”
The most important thing was, no matter what happened outside, she must not leave his side! No excuses, no reasons, she must not leave him!
Before she could get a clear answer, her lips were seized, and then ca an onslaught of kisses. All her questions were sealed away.
He was like soone demanding a promise through his assertive, domineering actions.
The night was still very long, very long.
