Chapter 1597: Chapter 1596: How Could Baron Lawrence Hear That?
Skye Lawrence was cursed out viciously for the first ti in her life. Her typically assertive face turned green, then red, then white as she spoke with irony, “Ms. Clark really has quite the mouth on her. It’s a waste of talent not going into the Legal Departnt.”
Enna Clark was just unable to hold back, wanting to help Baron Lawrence let off steam, but in truth, she didn’t want to speak to Skye Lawrence at all. She replied with a forced smile, “Thank you, I’ll consider which direction to move toward in the future.”
Skye Lawrence’s temples pulsed with frustration.
Enna Clark didn’t even glance at her, saying dismissively, “I have other things to do, so I won’t keep you company. Do as you please.”
Having said that, without caring what Skye Lawrence had co to her for, Enna skirted around Skye’s car and headed straight to her own.
Just as she was opening the car door, Skye’s voice ca from behind, “Ms. Clark, you still have a chance to make a choice about the words I said to you at the café last ti.”
Enna’s hands paused.
Last ti, didn’t Skye Lawrence et with her to say that if she broke up with Baron Lawrence voluntarily, then she would let the Lawrence Family off the hook?
Enna turned around, barely able to tolerate a look at her, as if seeing her for the first ti, and said, “The first ti I t you, I was truly impressed. Yes, she liked Baron Lawrence.
She didn’t know when it began, but she had fallen for that domineering, obsessive man, and now her feelings were only growing stronger.
“It’s a pure fondness for him as a person!” It’s not about money! It’s not as if not leaving Baron Lawrence will cause him to die of so terminal illness. Why should she leave?

And those words were precisely what she had said while facing off with Skye Lawrence.
