Hayes’ usually expressionless face softened a lot. Though his expression didn’t change much, his eyes showed a great deal of gentleness.
Bobby entered the study room.
Upon entering, he saw a large screen facing the conference room, with dozens of people waiting to start a video conference. Edward Jackson was sitting in a swivel chair on the sofa. When Bobby arrived, Edward removed his headset and asked the participants on the other side to wait a mont.
Then he stood up, walked towards Bobby with a gentle expression, bent down to pick him up, and placed him on his own chair, showing a warm smile, and asked, “What’s the matter? Why are you looking for ?”
