She saw he lost control and assud he would hit her?
They had been together for so long, and did she still not know how much he cared for her? Even if he lost control, he would never actually hit her!
She is more important than his life itself!
He wished he could cradle her in his hands, wished he could pluck all the stars from the sky for her, how could he possibly harm her even a little?
But Enna Clark did not trust him.
Just thinking about her frightened expression and closed eyes from earlier made Baron Lawrence feel as if his heart was brutally stabbed, dripping with blood.
More painful than the injury on his hand was the dull agony in his heart.
That dull ache was driving him nearly insane.
