This ti, instead of picking up the Bluetooth earpiece imdiately like he intended, Baron Lawrence stared intensely at it with a terrified look, leaving it on the desk, before finally squeezing out a low, annoyed roar, "Get out!"
The Special Assistant didn’t know what was bothering him, but wasn’t foolish enough to ask at such a mont. He shrunk his neck back, quietly saying, "President Lawrence, I’ll head out first. If you need anything, just call ."
After speaking, he carefully backed out.
He closed the eting room door behind him as a courtesy.
The sizable eting room was empty; the floor-to-ceiling windows could overlook the entire cityscape, yet at such a height, while admiring the view, there was also a lonely sense of chill from the heights.
Once the office was left with only him, the man in a tailored suit stood up agitatedly, without concealing his irritation, kicking over the chair in frustration. He picked up the Bluetooth earpiece from the table and tossed it into the trash bin. The limited-edition Bluetooth earpiece lay lone and pitiful in the trash can. After Baron Lawrence glared at it intensely, he pursed his thin lips, forcing himself to look away, then turned around and walked out without a word.
His well-defined hand gripped the doorknob, but for an unknown reason, he suddenly halted.
His left hand tightly grasped the doorknob as if he was trying hard to restrain himself. The veins were already bulging on the back of the well-defined hand.
After a while, his noble thin lips suddenly spat out a curse, "shi-t!"
Then he strode back, bending his valuable waist, to pick up the discarded Bluetooth earpiece from the trash can.
Baron Lawrence actually picked up sothing from the trash can!
If Scott Harris were here, he would certainly sigh quietly about Ms. Clark’s srizing charm.
Unfortunately, Scott Harris wasn’t here to witness it either.
He picked up the Bluetooth earpiece, then vented by tossing it heavily onto the office desk again. Luckily, the quality of the products he used was top-notch, otherwise, with his kind of throwing, cheap ones would have shattered into pieces long ago.
Baron Lawrence breathed heavily, his dark eagle-like eyes filled with suppressed pain and conflict.
Clearly... that woman broke up with him only three days ago and doesn’t want to see him anymore.
Clearly... she was the one who casually ntioned breaking up to push him.
It’s just a woman, right? At most, he’ll do without! That’s how he’s been educated, the environnts and circles he’s been exposed to. Won just need to be obedient. Of course, a woman who is both obedient and beneficial to the family would be even better.
Enna Clark wasn’t the obedient type, nor was she beneficial to the family. She possessed neither quality, yet he annoyingly just liked her!
The handso man in a tailored suit silently clenched his fist by his side, a surge of anger and powerless frustration stuck in his chest with no way to vent.
His thin lips were panting as he reached a point of extre discomfort, wishing he could smash everything that could be smashed in the eting room!
But the remaining 0.1% of his rationality nailed his legs to the ground, unable to move.
Once the initial bout of agitation passed, he walked over to the eting table, stretched out his hand to pick up the Bluetooth earpiece he had earlier discarded.
He pressed the switch button beside it.
After a beep, a voice sounded from the earpiece, "I like Baron Lawrence, I want to be with him."
"I like Baron Lawrence, I want to be with him."
This voice was unmistakably Enna Clark’s!
