Olivia Lewis rushed out of the office building, gradually slowing her pace. She sat on the free seat at the bus stop by the roadside. Taking a deep breath, she hesitantly took out her phone and posted a tweet.
Then she closed her eyes to breathe in the slightly cool air outside.
"Buzz buzz buzz——" The phone quickly started vibrating.
Olivia Lewis opened her eyes, lowered her head, and glanced at the phone in her hand.
It was August Oliver calling.
She bit her lower lip, unsure how to answer.
After hesitating for a mont, she still hung up the phone.
The phone buzzed again, this ti it wasn’t August Oliver, it was Sunny.
She cald her emotions, putting the phone to her ear. As soon as she picked up, she heard an eruption of shouting from the other side, "Where are you! Was your Twitter account hacked? Quickly log in and check!"
She gazed wearily at the nails on her left hand, weakly replied, "...No, I posted that tweet myself."
"Are you out of your mind!" Sunny cursed anxiously, "You dare to admit to being kept? Are you trying to leave the entertainnt industry? Ah! Have you gone mad! Just to protect August Oliver, you’re willing to ruin your career? Even if you want to protect him, you can choose a slightly more tactful way, why did you post such a tweet!"
Admitting to relying on a financial backer, admitting she ’still has a boyfriend’, because her ’boyfriend’ was jealous. Hence clarifying that she and August Oliver are just senior-junior colleagues. Last night’s performance at the concert was not a confession, but rather a contract-driven publicity stunt pre-agreed with August’s company. August himself was reluctant to deceive fans, but for the sake of the band, he had no choice but to cooperate with the company’s promotion. However, because her ’boyfriend’ was jealous, she had to end the collaboration and reveal the truth. As a public figure, she expresses profound apology to those deceived.
Sunny couldn’t find words to describe her shock upon seeing that ’clarification’ tweet, it was a 365° no-angle escape.
No matter how brilliant she is at handling ergency PR for stars, facing such a suicidal statent, she doesn’t know how to save it.
Other stars might play with fire, but ol’ her went straight for the atomic bomb!
"So, you also know Adam Sinclair is blacklisting August Oliver..." Olivia Lewis said after a mont of silence, her gaze darkening.
Sunny was unsure how to explain, "I... I knew, but didn’t tell you because I was afraid you’d act impulsively."
"And what about August Oliver? If you didn’t tell , he’ll be completely blacklisted, ruining his career! What did he do wrong?" Olivia retorted.
"Olivia..."
Olivia Lewis pressed her lips tightly, calming her emotions, she said, "I know you’re thinking of , I don’t bla you. I’m just upset inside. As for the Twitter statent, I won’t change it anymore. If I can’t stay in the entertainnt industry, then so be it—I actually want to take a break now."
She was exhausted.
Sunny sensed the fatigue in her words, guessing that she most likely had argued with Adam Sinclair, and said no more, only telling her to co back soon before hanging up.
...
On the other side.
In the President’s office at Stellar Entertainnt, the sharply dressed man leaned back in his swivel chair, covering his eyes with a single hand. The exposed jawline was tightly tense.
"Knock knock!" The office door was knocked.
Adam Sinclair took away the hand covering his eyes, sat up, placing his elbow on the desk, and said in a deep voice, "Co in."
