Chapter 1862: Chapter 1872: Bobby’s Exchange Terms
Even though he felt there wouldn’t be a next ti, hearing him openly say that he wanted to help another man pursue Enna Clark still left him a bit displeased.
Bobby wasn’t afraid of him at all. Looking him in the eyes, he continued, “Uncle Westbrook is about as rich as you are, has about as much power, and is almost as good-looking as you. The most important thing is, Uncle Westbrook has a better temper than you, and he definitely won’t start argunts with Enna Clark for no reason. He wouldn’t make Enna sad.”
He fired off a bunch of words in rapid succession, and surprisingly, soone with a usually bad temper didn’t flare up. Instead, he calmly waited for Bobby to finish before asking, “So why didn’t you help Lyle Westbrook this ti?”
“Because—” Bobby almost blurted out but quickly caught himself and shut his mouth. He then put on a stern little face and reluctantly admitted, “Because Enna Clark likes you.”
—Because Enna Clark likes you!
If soone else had said that, it might not have brought him such joy, but hearing it co from Bobby, Baron Lawrence felt an inexplicable thrill.
Bobby pursed his lips, completely unwilling to admit, “Enna Clark likes you. I can see it, she just likes you.”
“Originally, this ti you argued, you made Enna Clark so upset I didn’t want to forgive you. If it weren’t for seeing that Enna likes you, I wouldn’t have answered your call this morning and helped trick Enna into coming out. Don’t think I don’t know you took out to play just to trick Enna into coming along too.”
Bobby said, getting more frustrated, “The woman in my family is strong-willed. If she likes soone, she just likes them; she won’t imdiately fall for soone else. That’s why I chose to help you this ti. I made up a story about Enna going on a date with Uncle Westbrook just to see if you would react.”
“What if I had no reaction?” Baron Lawrence asked in a low voice.
Bobby glanced at him, rcilessly saying, “I’d take my woman away!”
“Enna Clark has already decided to go back to Linton City in a week. If Grandpa hadn’t co suddenly, Enna definitely wouldn’t have changed her plan.”
Enna Clark was planning to take them back to Linton City? In a week?
Baron Lawrence felt his heart inexplicably squeezed.
Bobby intentionally said it for him to hear, to prevent him from bullying Enna Clark. He slightly tightened his lips and continued, “When you get married, will you live with us?”
“Yes!”
When married, they’d of course live together.
Being together 24 hours a day!
Bobby’s clear black-and-white eyes carefully observed Baron Lawrence’s expression before speaking, “Then can you make a promise to ?”
“…” Baron Lawrence frowned, wondering what kind of promise to make with a nine-year-old child?
Bobby seed to have read his mind and directly said, “Next ti you’re about to argue with Enna, close your eyes and count to three. Then decide whether or not to continue.”
Afraid the man beside him might not agree, he quickly added, “This ti I helped you. Grandpa said no debts should be left unpaid. You owe a favor, and this ti it’s an exchange!”
Baron Lawrence didn’t expect his request to be this. Though he was unsure where Bobby learned these words, he squinted slightly and his thin lips touched, “Okay!”
