Chapter 1869: Chapter 1879: To leave the two little ones with Baron Lawrence
Since she was going to Linton City and needed to leave the two little ones with Baron Lawrence, Enna Clark told Bobby about it early on. Bobby was vehently against it at first, but once he heard she was going with Olivia Lewis to help Olivia secure an endorsent, he quietly closed his mouth.
Even though his pretty little face still showed reluctance, he no longer strongly opposed it.
The next morning, Enna Clark got up early.
Bobby was already dressed neatly, carrying his little backpack with all his important things, holding the hand of his clueless little sister, with a grumpy face, unwilling to speak.
Enna knew he was still upset about not being able to co along, so she bent down and patted his head, smiling warmly as she coaxed him, “Alright, Bobby, I promise to take you with next ti, okay? This ti, stay here to take care of your sister. Gigi loves you so much, and without you by her side, she’d be scared going to an unfamiliar place.”
The boy with a stiff face pursed his lips and unhappily said, “The Dubious Man next door isn’t a stranger, what’s there to be scared of?”
“Yeah, your dad isn’t a stranger, so why don’t you want to go?” Enna blinked, her clear eyes looking at him.
Bobby t those bright eyes, suddenly turned his head reluctantly, and mumbled, “I’ve never stayed with him alone.”
He had always been with his mom. Although when his mom was having Gigi, he lived with the Dubious Man next door for over a year, he hadn’t been alone with him for a long ti since his mom ca back. Suddenly being made to live with the Dubious Man, even if only for two days, felt uncomfortable to him.
It just felt awkward.
“Do you dislike your dad?” Enna thought for a mont and asked.
Bobby stiffened, stood frozen for a mont, then said, “…No.”
It wasn’t because he disliked the Dubious Man that he resisted, he just wasn’t used to it.
He didn’t dislike the Dubious Man. Back when Lyle Westbrook was pursuing Enna Clark, he even wanted his dad to be the Dubious Man. But then… when the Dubious Man really got together with Enna, he felt like his mom was going to be taken away from him.
After all, the Dubious Man was so domineering and possessive over his mom.
In the future, he was sure to compete with him for his mom’s attention.
Bobby was obviously distressed but didn’t want Enna to misunderstand that he disliked the Dubious Man, so he thought it over and still frowned, unwillingly saying, “I don’t dislike him. I’ll stay with Gigi at his place these two days. But let’s agree first, you have to call every night for an hour.”
Enna had already thought of that, “Okay, I’ll call you on video every night. You behave a bit while you’re with your dad. He’s pretty busy with work these days, so don’t clash with him.”
She was just worried that Baron Lawrence wouldn’t be able to handle Bobby since when Bobby acted up, he could really act up.
“I wouldn’t clash with him, he’s so childish.”
He’s only nine years old, and yet he’s calling others childish. Not to ntion that “other” is his dad.
Enna couldn’t help but laugh softly, pinching his cheek and saying, “Yes, yes, my Bobby is the most well-behaved. I’ll leave Gigi in your care then, thank you, baby.”
Bobby was still a bit awkward, but he solemnly said, “Don’t worry, I’ll take good care of the little dummy. I won’t let her get into any accidents again. You too, be sure to have Auntie Olivia take care of you while you’re out, don’t let anyone bully you.”
“…” Does she look that easy to bully?
Enna’s eyes curved up, “Got it.”
