Chapter 1944: Chapter 1954: Enna Clark Was Set Up
Since it was just the decorative structure of the mall entrance, Knotwell’s side completed the work very quickly. It was finished a week earlier than agreed.
After sending soone to inspect it, they didn’t find any issues, so today they were preparing to reopen.
Who would have expected that during the reopening event, in the presence of many citizens, the beam of the newly constructed decorative building suddenly fell and killed soone.
Because the mall is well located in the City Center and hosted an opening event, it caused significant panic and even led to a stampede.
Instantly, journalists and dia flocked over, demanding an explanation from Rhine.
After Enna Clark listened to what happened, her frown deepened, and she asked a crucial question, “Who conducted these two quality inspections?”
“It was the Deputy Head of the Quality Inspection Departnt.”
“Where is he now?”
“I don’t know; the Quality Inspection Departnt said he didn’t co to work today.”
Not coming to work suggests that the person knew sothing would happen today and ran away early.
Enna Clark felt as though an invisible net was tightening around her from all sides. She could see the net but couldn’t find a way to escape.
She couldn’t just go outside and tell the reporters that soone might be framing Rhine, that the Quality Inspection Departnt staff might have been bribed, and that their company was unaware beforehand. The person who was bribed has already run away.
Even if she said that, no one would believe it. They would only think she was making up a scapegoat, deliberately avoiding responsibility.
Moreover, what’s most tricky is that the mall is in the City Center, and this accident not only caused casualties but also a terrible stampede.
The commotion was so big that there was no ti to let the Public Relations Departnt suppress it.
The person behind this clearly wanted to catch her off guard.
However, no matter who orchestrated this, they shouldn’t play with human lives; it’s a living life!
And an innocent life at that!
Just how heinous must soone be to do sothing like this?
Enna Clark’s breathing grew heavy, and she instinctively tightened her grip on the hand placed on her desk. Her assistant lowered their head guiltily and apologized, “Representative, I’m sorry. I didn’t expect this to happen. I should have sent more people from the Quality Inspection Departnt, maybe then this accident wouldn’t have occurred.”
“It’s not your fault.”
This ‘accident’ was clearly designed by soone, and even if they had known, they couldn’t have prevented it.
Just then,
the secretary suddenly burst in, looking extrely pale, and said, “Representative, the Police officer is here and wants to invite you to the police station for a talk.”
“What do we do now?” The assistant panicked.
Enna Clark hadn’t expected things to escalate so suddenly and quickly.
But what had happened had happened, and this ti she was Rhine’s representative. Baron Lawrence could no longer stand in front of her. So she had to stand up; if she couldn’t hold her ground, others would surely panic.
She recalled how the man acted the last ti the Lawrence Corporation was in trouble, and thinking about that cald her down significantly.

She can withstand this!
Enna Clark made a decisive decision, “Alright! Let’s handle what needs handling! The police are just investigating, and as the company representative, I’ll cooperate with the investigation!”
“Rember to arrange for the Public Relations Departnt, and imdiately coordinate with the Logistics Departnt to go to the Hospital. For any injured individuals, Rhine will cover all dical expenses, and inform their families that Rhine will not shirk responsibility. Once the matter is clarified, the injured will be compensated one by one.”
