Chapter 1946: Chapter 1956: Enna Clark Enters the Police Station
The situation was worse than Scott Harris imagined.
Enna Clark rode in the police car and arrived at the nearby police station.
“We’re here, Ms. Clark, please get out of the car.”
“Alright.”
Enna Clark unbuckled her seatbelt and got out of the car.
This was her second ti at a police station. The first ti was to help Olivia catch a faithless man; she had hit soone and ended up at the police station.
She hadn’t expected to co to this place again one day, and this ti it wasn’t because of soone else, but because of her own situation.
The policewoman glanced at her and said bureaucratically, “Follow inside, please.”
“Okay.” Enna Clark collected herself and followed her in.
This police station was much larger than the previous one she had visited; it seed like a headquarters or sothing. The policewoman led her to a separate room, poured her a cup of water, and sitting across from her, started asking questions expressionlessly, “Does Ms. Clark know why she has been brought here?”
Is this an interrogation?
Enna Clark calmly took a sip of water and said, “No.”
“Then do you know about the incident at the mall under our jurisdiction?” The policewoman looked into her eyes, seemingly trying to increase the pressure on her.
Who is Enna Clark? Having spent a lot of ti with Baron Lawrence and Old Master Lawrence, this superficial pressure from the policewoman had no effect on her at all, “I do.”
“Then Ms. Clark just said you don’t know why you’ve been brought here?” The policewoman said with a bit of dissatisfaction, “Ms. Clark, please work with , okay?”
“I’m cooperating very well.” Enna Clarke responded to her dissatisfaction calmly, saying continuously, “I just learned about the incident at the mall, but as for why the police found , I’m also unclear.”
The policewoman saw her as weak and assud she was soone with no opinions, thinking that with a bit of questioning, she would panic and reveal everything.
She didn’t expect Enna Clark to be a tough nut to crack and maintain the sa attitude throughout. She furrowed her brows, her dissatisfaction becoming more apparent, and she placed the pen in her hand down, leaned back in her chair, and asked leisurely, “Ms. Clark doesn’t know why we found you? Or you didn’t expect us to find you?”
“What do you an?” Enna Clark heard the insinuation and asked her back.
“There’s no harm in telling you.” The policewoman stared at her face as if trying to glean so insight, saying deliberately, “Customs detained soone.”
“…”
Customs detained soone? What does that an?
The policewoman didn’t see what she wanted to see, so she moved closer, saying, “Customs detained soone you also know, Ms. Clark.”
“…” Enna Clark still looked at her, puzzled.
The policewoman couldn’t tell if she genuinely didn’t know or was feigning ignorance. If she was pretending, she was indeed very skilled.
“Does Ms. Clark have anything she wants to tell ? There’s still ti now; in matters like this, confessing will bring leniency, while resisting brings severity. If you still won’t speak before I reveal it, it won’t count as a type of leniency.”
“What on earth are you trying to say? Just say it directly.” Enna Clark looked directly into her eyes, her expression frank, her pupils clear, without a trace of apprehension.
