Chapter 1953: Chapter 1963: Eat First, Talk After

He doesn’t know who it is yet, but he will investigate, and when he finds out, that person is done for!

Rupert Harris saw that expression on him again, and his heart tightened, knowing that Baron was thoroughly enraged.

Hopefully, the person behind this is hiding deep enough; otherwise, if Baron finds them, they will undoubtedly et a grim end!

“Where are we going next?” Enna Clark didn’t want them to discuss her matter in the car anymore; she’ll deal with it herself. If she doesn’t handle it, even Old Master Lawrence won’t get through it.

Just as she opened her mouth, her wrist was gripped, and his eagle-like eyes swept over her with displeasure, saying gruffly, “Dinner!”

“I…” She still wanted to go to the hospital.

Baron seed to read her mind and cut her off directly, “Whatever it is, talk about it after we eat, have dinner first!”

“But I…”

“Terry Leigh has been running around all day for your issue and hasn’t eaten yet. When you trouble soone, the least you can do is buy them a al!”

Enna Clark, admittedly, had all her words effectively blocked.

Rupert Harris was amused and exasperated, but he was used to presenting a stone-cold face to others, unless soone knew him well enough to read his expressions, which for soone like Enna Clark, he just seed upright and stern, severe and unyielding.

Enna Clark hesitated for a mont, but eventually compromised, “…Alright, let’s have dinner first.”

No matter how you look at it, Rupert Harris indeed made a trip because of her, and it was only reasonable for her to buy him a al.

“That’s more like it.” Baron, having achieved his goal, smiled slightly, a thin smile gracing his lips as his hold on her wrist slackened slightly.

Enna Clark simply didn’t know what to say about him.

Childish and overbearing, he was just like those schoolyard bullies you would et back in school.

When you go along with him, it’s all sunshine and happiness; oppose him, and it’s doomsday.

Enna Clark couldn’t figure out how she ended up liking such a man.

The car drove all the way to a nearby restaurant; Rupert Harris enjoyed Oriental cuisine, so they chose an Oriental food restaurant.

The waiter respectfully led them to his exclusive private room and handed them the nu.

Rupert Harris took the nu and handed it directly to Enna Clark, “The food here is good, Ms. Clark, order anything you’d like.”

“I’m fine with anything,” Enna Clark had just said.

The man beside her had already imperiously ordered several dishes.

After ordering, he took the nu from her hands, insistently closing it and handing it to the waiter, saying, “This, and whatever he usually likes, just add them.”

The waiter imdiately took the nu from his hand, saying, “Alright, please wait a mont.”

Then he slid open the door and left.

With one less person in the private room, the atmosphere instantly beca much quieter.

Enna Clark spent more ti with Adam Sinclair and relatively less with Rupert Harris. She had only seen Rupert at so big gatherings otherwise rarely. Even at those gatherings, Rupert was the type who spoke very little, not talking unless absolutely necessary.

She didn’t even know how to interact with him or what topics to discuss.

While she was pondering this, the person beside her casually spoke, “Emm…”

Damn, was it Emilia Goldsmith or Emm sothing…

He frowned, and Rupert Harris saw what he was trying to get at, saying helplessly, “Emily Goldsmith.”
