Chapter 1998: Chapter 2008: Missing a Grandson-in-law with Eye Problems
“But the Habsden family lacks nothing, except a grandson-in-law with eyesight issues.” Old Madam Habsden suddenly said seriously, “Alright, today I asked Edward to ssage you to co over because of one thing. I want to discuss the wedding with you.”
“I finally got Enna back. Her wedding must be perfect. I previously had a wedding dress designed for her mom, kept it treasured. Her mom…” Her eyes dimd, she paused briefly, then continued, “Her mom couldn’t use it, so I hope she can wear that wedding dress for her wedding.”
“Alright.”
Baron Lawrence had t the Clark Family.
Compared to the Clark Family, whether it was Old Madam Habsden or Edward Jackson, both gave off a strong sense of family.
He suddenly understood why Enna Clark held so much respect for Old Madam Habsden. Despite their short ti together, even he felt the heartfelt care Old Madam Habsden had for Enna. After such a long ti with Old Madam Habsden, Enna must feel that warmth even more deeply.
She must really like the Habsden family and cherish her hard-won relatives to have shared so much with Old Madam Habsden.
Even before he knew it, she had sensed that Old Madam Habsden might not like him. She quietly went to Old Madam Habsden and, in her own way, persuaded her.
“Also, besides that, I will entrust all the properties under my na to be transferred to Enna by a lawyer. I want you to understand that Enna is no longer the Enna she once was; she is in no way inferior to anyone. If one day you betray her trust, her Little Uncle and I will take her ho! If she truly returns ho, it’ll be too late for you to go get her! The Habsden family can support her. I hope you understand this; whether or not she’s Mrs. Lawrence, she will always be the First Young Lady of the Habsden family!”
No matter if she’s Mrs. Lawrence, she will always be the First Young Lady of the Habsden family!
This is both a warning and the full love of an elder for her beloved granddaughter!
Edward Jackson didn’t expect Old Madam Habsden to be so serious right off the bat. He had a headache and stepped in to defuse the situation, “Mom, don’t you want to see what gift Baron brought you?”
Old Madam Habsden had already withdrawn her sharp gaze. She rolled her eyes at him and said grumpily, “I’m more interested in seeing what gift your wife brought . When will you let see?”
Edward Jackson was publicly scolded back, rubbed the bridge of his nose in resignation, “Mom, didn’t we agree not to talk about this for now?”
Old Madam Habsden’s eyebrows shot up, glaring at him fiercely before she began grumbling, “Oh, you really think I’m ddling too much, don’t you? You just don’t want to see now, do you? Oh dear, my heart…”
Edward Jackson didn’t know what he did to upset her today and regretted having spoken out earlier, explaining helplessly, “I didn’t.”
“Then when are you going to et the girl I told you about?” Old Madam Habsden clutched her heart’s location, pretending to be fine just monts later, acting entirely like a stubborn old child trying to get her way.
While she said this, she suddenly turned to Baron Lawrence and said, “I rember when you first t Enna, you didn’t quite like her either. It was only through spending ti together that you grew to like our Enna, right?”
