Because Baron Lawrence forcefully restricted his personal hobbies, Bobby couldn’t win against Baron any other way, so he resorted to sulking as his thod in their cold war.
Along the way, he puffed out his cheeks and didn’t say a word.
This tactic worked with Enna Clark, but it had no effect on Baron Lawrence.
The man sitting there the whole ti had no intention of acknowledging him, absorbed in the docunts in his hand, completely oblivious to his cold war tactics.
Bobby felt that his masculine dignity was deeply humiliated, growing even more frustrated, and decided to carry this cold war through to the end with a stern face.
Soon, the car arrived at the Rhine Corporation building.
The driver opened the door for both of them.
“Lord, Young Master, we’ve arrived.”
Bobby jumped out of the car first.
Baron Lawrence followed closely behind.
One after another, they entered Rhine, taking the elevator to the floor with the representative’s office.
Both of them were like beacons of light, attracting a lot of attention from the mont they appeared at the company.
Especially the receptionists, who were excitedly using their phones to secretly take pictures of their backs.
Baron Lawrence and Bobby had gotten on the elevator, and a few of the receptionists were eagerly asking each other, “Did you get it? Did you get it?”
The one who reacted the fastest and pulled out her phone said proudly, “I got it.”
“Let see.”
“I want to see too.”
They crowded together, grabbing the phone to critique the pictures.
“Emma, the representative’s son is so handso.”
“Yeah, but unfortunately, I only got a side shot.”
“Young Master Lawrence is very handso too, okay? I saw the news. If a man held like that in front of so many reporters, shielding from thrown eggs, I’d fucking marry him! It’s like a scene straight out of a drama.”
“Hahaha, you’re dreaming. Who’d throw eggs at you, more like stones, probably.”
The receptionists were chattering non-stop as they discussed the photos.
On the representative office floor, people in the Secretary Office were also stirred by the appearance of Baron Lawrence and Bobby.
However, they were much more reserved compared to the receptionists and mostly just paused their work, nudging each other, motioning silently for others to take a look.
Bobby was used to being watched, and he walked seriously, eyes forward, following Baron’s steps.
Baron Lawrence was even more accustod to the attention, entirely unconcerned about others’ glances, heading straight toward Enna Clark’s office—
He pushed open the door; the office was empty. The assistant hurried over at this mont, saying, “Young Master, sorry, the representative is on a call and will be over as soon as they’re done. Would you mind waiting here for a bit? Would you like sothing to drink, coffee or tea?”
“Coffee.” Baron Lawrence sat down on the office sofa.
Bobby, however, slipped away like a fish, saying, “I’m going to find Enna Clark.”
After speaking, he was gone in a flash, too quick for anyone to call back.
Enna Clark was on a call in the conference room next door, completely unaware of Bobby entering. She stood by the window, listening to the call with a serious expression.
After a long wait, she finally said, “I understand, don’t make any moves yet, keep a close eye on the witness, and wait for my further instructions.”
“Alright, let’s leave it at that.”
She hung up the phone, just turned around, and saw Bobby behind her.
Enna Clark was startled, reflexively hiding the phone behind her back, asking, “Darling, how did you get here?”
When did Bobby co? How much had he heard?
