Nicholas Lawrence had never openly discussed this matter, but this ti, on the phone, he spoke the words everyone knew but never said, using a tone of utmost disappointnt.
"I really didn’t..." Skye Lawrence bit her lower lip, struggling to speak.
The voice on the other end of the phone seed to have lost all hope in her, speaking slowly, "The reason I called you today, was with a glimr of hope. I thought you were your Mom’s child, with your Mom’s kind nature, no matter how you changed, you wouldn’t change to such an extent. I’ve believed, all these years, that I’ve been educating you towards goodness. Now, it’s clear, I owe it to your Mom, educating you like this. Maybe I was wrong from the start, I shouldn’t have forced you to stay with the Lawrence Family. Back then, I should have listened to others’ advice, and found you a happy family to adopt you, to let you grow up in a healthy family. Maybe you wouldn’t have turned out like this."

Skye Lawrence’s body shook, her heart felt like it was being crushed to the extre, painfully close to breaking.
"Skye, I can’t plead with the Old Master for you anymore this ti. You’re on your own." Nicholas Lawrence said, sounding utterly fatigued, as he hung up the phone.
Skye Lawrence sat dazed on the bed after he hung up, not coming back to her senses for a long ti.
Nicholas Lawrence’s disappointed voice kept echoing in her ears.
Over and over, as if Nicholas Lawrence was standing in front of her questioning how much more disappointnt she could bring him.
Her heart felt like it was being gripped by an invisible hand, squeezing until she could hardly breathe.
Skye Lawrence clutched her collar, propped herself on the bed with one hand, gasping heavily.
Her face was pale as paper, her whole deanor was in a daze.

The sound of running water from the bathroom stopped.
Following this, a click sounded, and the bathroom door opened.
A man draped in a silver silk bathrobe walked out from the bathroom, drying his hair, his bright blue eyes noticing her.
Seeing Skye Lawrence unlike her usual self, he put down the towel, strode forward with long legs, and pulled her up by the hand, "What are you doing?"
Skye Lawrence was suddenly pulled up hard by him, her whole body swayed, her dazed eyes fell on his face, as if looking at him, yet seeming like she wasn’t looking at him at all!
Oscar’s blue eyes were wickedly fixed on her for a few seconds, then his peripheral vision suddenly caught sight of her phone left aside.
He abruptly bent down and picked up the phone from the bed.
Only then did Skye Lawrence seem to return to her senses, instinctively reaching out to snatch it back, "Don’t look! Give it back!"
It was already too late.
Oscar had already seen the ssage Enna Clark sent her, and also saw the photos above.
Holding the phone, he flipped it over, addressing Skye Lawrence, "I have already found evidence, what does this an? Shouldn’t you explain it to ? Dear Mrs. Oscar?"
