When she saw Baron Lawrence directly stuffing the bouquet of flowers into Enna Clark’s hands, she suddenly spat out a mouthful of water, which sprayed right onto Adam Sinclair’s face across from her.
While wiping her mouth, she picked up the tissue box and handed it over to apologize, “Sorry, hahaha, I couldn’t hold it in.”
“…” Adam was splattered with water, and it was spat out from soone’s mouth. If anyone else did this, he would’ve been furious by now, but since it was Olivia Lewis, he quietly suppressed his anger. Taking the tissue box she offered, he pulled out a few tissues and wiped his face, “Forget it.”
Olivia Lewis propped her arm and blinked, looking at him.
Adam Sinclair’s actions started to slow under her gaze, and just then, the person focused on him suddenly said seriously, “I noticed…”
“Hmm?”
His heartbeat sped up.
Olivia Lewis pouted her red lips and blurted out everything in one breath, “I noticed, your skin has been really dry lately. The water I accidentally sprayed on your face just got absorbed imdiately.”
Adam Sinclair heard sothing shatter inside him, and the corner of his mouth twitched.
The culprit wasn’t done, offering another blow, “Do you want to spray so more, as a way to hydrate?”
Adam took a deep breath to suppress his flaring anger, forcing a casual smile, and said calmly, “No need. I just enjoy the feeling of being dehydrated.”
Not mad, he’s not mad!
The angrier he acts, the more this woman gets a kick out of it; that’s sothing he’s learned from dealing with her for years.
Never argue with her. If you argue with her, she has a hundred ways to drive you nuts!
Olivia noticed his lack of reaction and a trace of disappointnt flashed in her eyes. But she quickly adjusted her mood and quipped, “Oh, so you’re finally over your days as a pretty boy and ready to develop so manliness?”
“But, are you sure you understand what ‘manliness’ ans? It doesn’t an being sloppy. Don’t skip washing your face and, heavens forbid, skip the showers too just to achieve that vibe.”
Adam barely maintained his facade of not getting angry, almost cracking in a second.
He knew this woman always has a hundred ways to find his least favorite topics and poke until his face turns dark.
“Pfft.” Another onlooker next to him laughed without holding back, saying with interest, “I find Ms. Lewis really amusing, I quite like you. It’s a sha I’m not a man. But if I were, I probably wouldn’t like you as much, I don’t have the sa level of tolerance as Young Master Sinclair. Plus, if I turned into a man, I definitely wouldn’t be like him. I’d probably be more manly.”
What she said was too straightforward.
The key was she said it very seriously, as if she genuinely considered if she’d like Olivia Lewis if she turned into a man.
Rupert Harris watched her wholly unaware of how her words once again stabbed at his friend’s heart, silently pretending not to have heard.
