Chapter 2064: Chapter 2074: A Long-Lost Call from Cherysh Jordan
The plane took off on ti at 11:30, flying from Linton City to Country W.
Enna Clark spent three hours watching cartoons with one big and one small companion before getting the little one to sleep. Then she spent another three hours playing mobile gas with the big one. Finally, the plane landed at the Country W airport.
Baron Lawrence went straight to the company for work after arriving at the airport.
Enna Clark took Bobby and Gigi back to Birch Garden.
Birch Garden looked almost the sa as when they left.
After settling the two little ones, Enna Clark took a shower to refresh herself. She was just about to return to the study to do so work.
Suddenly, her phone started vibrating.
She picked up her phone from the desk and glanced at it. It was an unfamiliar number. She answered it casually, “Hello?”
“Enna, I’m in Country W. I heard you ca back too. Are you free? I’d like to et you.”
This was a voice Enna Clark hadn’t heard in a long ti.
She thought she would never have any interaction with the owner of this voice again, but surprisingly, she received this call today.
It was even initiated by her.
She paused for a mont and looked at the ti.
It’s just one o’clock in the afternoon now in Country W.
She calculated Gigi’s nap ti, hesitated, and said, “It might be inconvenient. If you have anything to say, you can tell over the phone.”
She hadn’t contacted Cherysh Jordan for a long ti.
Even though everything from the past was over, it didn’t an it hadn’t happened.
Her relationship with Cherysh Jordan might not even be considered a friendship.
So she didn’t want to go out.
Enna thought she had made her refusal clear enough, but surprisingly, the person on the other end seed not to notice, “I can wait for you. It won’t take long. I just want to tell you sothing and give you sothing. You can choose a place convenient for you to et .”
She had already spoken to this extent, so Enna Clark didn’t want to be too harsh. After thinking, she said, “Okay, 20 minutes later, I’ll et you at XX.”
She referred to a café outside Birch Garden.
It’s very close and quite safe.
“Okay,” Cherysh Jordan agreed quickly.
After arranging the eting, she didn’t continue to disturb her and sensibly hung up.
Enna Clark furrowed her brows, slowly put down her phone, unable to figure out why Cherysh Jordan would suddenly call her. And what she wanted to discuss.
Unable to understand, she decided not to think about it anymore. She took advantage of the 20-minute window to open her laptop, checked the emails in her inbox, and responded to the ones that needed replies.
Then she told Bobby she was going out and left.
…
The café was just outside Birch Garden, a five-minute walk away.
She didn’t know where Cherysh was before, but she ordered her coffee and sat there waiting for less than ten minutes before Cherysh hurriedly arrived.
“Enna, sorry, I’m late.” She looked as if she had rushed over, her hair a bit wind-blown.
These weren’t what caught Enna Clark’s attention the most.
What caught her attention was her complexion, which looked particularly haggard, almost like a different person compared to her mory.
In her impression, even at her most disheveled, Cherysh Jordan wore delicate makeup and exuded charm.
Unlike now, with a pale face, a skinny figure, devoid of makeup, visibly weary. That weariness was internal, not that she had beco unattractive; in fact, Cherysh was still very beautiful.
