Enna Clark stopped asking further questions and hurried upstairs, following his steps.
As soon as she got upstairs, she saw several people standing helplessly in the corridor, one of whom was wearing a white coat, clearly a doctor.
"Ms. Clark is here," the bodyguard said to the group as soon as he arrived.
His tone made it sound as if a savior had arrived.
The group swiftly turned their gaze towards Enna Clark, leaving her utterly confused.
A maid-like person quickly grabbed her arm and welcod her in, "Ms. Clark, please go in first. I bet only you can go in now; once any of us enter, Young Master Lyle will make us leave."

Enna Clark pressed her lips together, utterly baffled by the situation.
She paused, took a deep breath, and still proceeded into the room...
Before coming here, she had asked the driver to send her location to her little uncle.
She also told him that if she didn’t reply within half an hour, it would an she was in danger. So, she wasn’t entirely unprepared for what lay ahead.
The bedroom in the villa was enormous; as soon as she stepped in, she was hit by the pungent sll of blood.
Her eyes then sharply focused, and she saw the mutilated man on the sofa, exclaiming, "Lyle Westbrook?"
The man on the sofa was covered in wounds, with blood still gushing from his arm. His pale skin looked almost transparent, contrasting with his exquisitely fine features, like an angel fallen to earth.
But this angel was a fallen angel.
Enna Clark had never seen him in such a sorry state before. Shocked, she finally understood why the bodyguard was so anxious when he called her earlier.
She rushed over quickly, her view becoming clearer as she got closer.
The man’s arms, legs, and body were all covered in injuries.
His white shirt was stained red with blood, the blotchy crimson making his stunning appearance even more striking.
"Lyle Westbrook, how did you end up like this? What happened?"
The man on the sofa, with his eyes closed and face taut, suddenly opened his eyes upon hearing her voice. He looked at her in disbelief, his pupils trembling.
Enna Clark didn’t understand why he was looking at her like that; she was more concerned about his injuries, "I’m taking you to the hospital!"
With that, she turned to leave.
Suddenly, her wrist was firmly grabbed by soone.
She stopped and turned around in confusion, seeing him about to faint from blood loss. As she tried to free her hand, she said, "Let go of first, your wounds are still bleeding. I’ll take you to the hospital."
"..." Lyle Westbrook just tightly held her, saying nothing and giving no response.
Enna Clark wasn’t sure if he was still conscious, or if he could hear her clearly.
Unable to free her hand after many attempts, she could only call out to the outside, "Where’s the doctor? Get in here quickly. I need so help."
The anxious people waiting outside all hurried in.
Throughout, Lyle Westbrook only clung to Enna Clark’s wrist, his eyes on her as if she might disappear at any mont.
Enna Clark didn’t have ti to wonder why he kept looking at her, calmly instructing the others, "Who can bring a basin of warm water?"
"I will!" the maid imdiately volunteered.
