Five minutes later.
The car arrived.
Baron Lawrence got into the car first, followed closely by Miranda Lewis.
Miranda was eager to converse with him, eager to make an impression.
But the man next to her exuded an aura of forbidding distance, making her too timid to get close. All she could do was watch them share the sa car, while the handso man remained oblivious to her, his gaze fixed on his laptop.
What to do? Such a good opportunity cannot be allowed to slip away!
Miranda fidgeted restlessly, unwilling to let such a chance go by. Summoning her courage, she leaned closer to the aloof man and sweetly said, "President Lawrence, we..."
"Shut up!" Cold and heartless!
Interrupted, the man’s gaze turned similarly cold, his handso face as though enveloped by Siberian frost, not just intimidating but ominous.
"I’m sorry, President Lawrence, I’m sorry." Miranda shrank back, startled, her hand retreating mid-air, as she muttered an explanation, "I didn’t an to disturb you, President Lawrence, I just wanted to ask..." Where are we going?
The words weren’t finished.
The man, brimming with impatience, already turned to her, a stark contrast to his deanor with Enna Clark, filled with annoyance, "Can’t you understand human language?"

Miranda’s face felt as though she had been slapped, awkward and embarrassed, she mumbled, "I’m sorry, President Lawrence."
Baron Lawrence had no ti for her theatrics. Seeing her finally silenced and having stopped trying to get closer, his furrowed brow relaxed slightly.
The car’s air was filled with the scent of a woman’s perfu.
Though the perfu’s aroma was faint, compared to the natural fragrance of Enna’s body wash, it was pungent and annoying.
Frustration surged in Baron’s chest. he tugged at his collar, irritation evident on his handso face, commanding the driver, "Drive faster!"
"Yes, Lord." The driver imdiately hit the accelerator, and the Lincoln sped towards the destination like an arrow.
Finally, the car ca to a halt.
The driver went around to the front and opened the car door for them.
"Lord."
The driver automatically ignored Miranda at the back.
Baron Lawrence had no intention to acknowledge her either and got out first.
Outside the car, free from the stifling perfu, breathing in fresh air, the frustrating feeling in his heart finally subsided greatly.
He didn’t even glance at Miranda, striding forward with his long legs, "Follow ."
His height and stride made Miranda chase after him at a jog to avoid being left behind.

The glass doors of a tall building opened.
Soone had already been waiting at the door; a manager-like person greeted Baron Lawrence respectfully upon sight, "Young Master Lawrence, the room you requested is ready, shall I take you up now?"
"Yes."
Miranda stepped into the lavishly decorated hall and realized where she was.
This is... a hotel?
A surge of uncontrollable joy flooded her heart amidst the shock.
A man bringing a woman to a hotel, with a room prepared in advance, what else could it be for?
Could President Lawrence want to... with her...
Miranda’s heartbeat thumped wildly, as she looked at the man ahead, his physique and appearance a paragon of pure diamond level, her excitent reaching its peak. Fearing to miss the chance, she hurriedly followed.
"Young Master Lawrence, we’ve arrived."
"I won’t disturb Young Master Lawrence’s rest further."
The hotel manager led them to the Presidential Suite, tactfully closing the door for them, and departed...
