Baron Lawrence’s stomach was still painfully twitching, but his mood was suddenly clear. Even though he felt physically uncomfortable, it was much better than the heart-wrenching pain from before.
He picked up the water glass that Enna Clark had placed on the table and tipped his head back to drink.
Enna Clark had co to terms with the fact that she wouldn’t get the necklace back. Seeing him drinking from her glass, she imdiately stopped him, "Wait, don’t drink this water. It’s already cold. If you want to drink, I’ll get you a new glass."
"No need." Baron Lawrence gulped half the glass down.
The sweet honey water soothed his throat, and his complexion looked much better. He set the cup down, "Enna Clark, did you call a doctor?"
Enna Clark picked up the cup he put down, felt it, and found it was indeed very cold. She frowned and disapprovingly said, "I told you not to drink it, yet you still did."
She walked towards the kitchen with the cup, planning to get another warm glass of water while she responded, "You weren’t asleep just now, so you should have heard make the call. Yes, I called. Your stomach was hurting so badly, how could I not care? Hold on, I’ll get a warm glass of water, and you can take the dicine then."
She was bustling around like a little wife, surrounded by a warm, glowing aura. Watching her, it was hard not to smile.
Baron Lawrence watched her busy figure, and indeed, his lips curled up in a charming smile on his perfect face, as if crafted by God, looking extrely handso.
Enna Clark quickly got a new glass of water and returned from the kitchen to the living room. She bent over and found the capsules they had prepared earlier and handed them to him, "Here, take two stomach pills first."
Baron Lawrence had already taken stomach dicine before and didn’t need to take more. But without hesitation, he took the dicine Enna Clark handed him and swallowed it down with the warm water from the glass.
Enna Clark watched him obediently take the dication and sighed with relief, asking, "Where’s Mr. Harris?"
"I sent him out."
He had just misunderstood that she had accepted the diamond ring from Lyle Westbrook, which made his mood extrely bad, so he wanted so ti alone.
Enna Clark let out an "oh" and turned to walk towards the bedroom, "I’ll call Mr. Harris to have him bring so hot porridge back."
...
The doctor arrived half an hour later.
After doing a basic examination on Baron Lawrence, the doctor prescribed so dicine and explained a long list of precautions to Enna Clark before leaving.
Scott Harris also returned, bringing with him plain rice porridge specially prepared by a Michelin chef.
Enna Clark brought a bowl into the bedroom, overseeing the person in the bedroom bed finishing it, before placing the bowl down and seriously saying, "Baron Lawrence, I’ll let it go this ti. But let’s agree, next ti you can’t keep things from like this anymore. Since we’re already married, we should face dangers together. Didn’t you say you don’t want to have a second marriage? You’ve already said you don’t want to have a second marriage, yet you keep everything to yourself. If sothing happened to you, what would I do?"
"If sothing happened to , would you have to remarry?" The man on the big bed frowned, completely missing the point.
Enna Clark smacked his hand away and said, "I’m just giving an example. My point is, in the future, things like with Miranda Lewis, you can’t hide them from anymore. Otherwise, no matter how much I trust you, I can’t guarantee that I won’t misunderstand every ti."
"Baron Lawrence, I would feel terrible too."
Because I care, and worry, it hurts...
