Enna Clark was irritated by his noise, rubbed her temples, and said, “Look at her dress.”
Baron Lawrence looked in the direction she indicated—only to see that the beautiful starry evening gown had sohow gotten bloodstained, bright red, and extrely glaring.
Scott Harris noticed it too and was surprised, “This is…”

Miranda Lewis was anxiously watching Enna Clark, waiting for her to help, all the while warily guarding against Scott Harris, fearing he’d cut off her tongue without a word. Under extre ntal stress, her nerves went numb. She had felt stomach pain before, but now, she didn’t feel any pain at all.
She perked up her ears and heard Enna Clark ntion her dress.
She instinctively looked down, and when she saw the bloodstain on her dress, she was montarily stunned, her eyes sowhat bewildered.
Then, as if realizing sothing, she reached out and touched the blood on the dress, then opened her hands. The blood on her fingers was glaringly vivid, and she stared at the red on her palm, let out a scream, and ca to realize, “My stomach… my stomach…”
She thought she wasn’t pregnant and believed the doctor had taken her money to forge a pregnancy certificate for her.
But what was on the dress?
Where did the blood co from?
This wasn’t the ti for her period, it couldn’t be her period… then it must be…
Miranda’s mind went blank; she couldn’t rember who the father of the child was, but she could clearly feel sothing inside her was quickly slipping away.
She might not have loved this child much, but in the extre tension and panic, when she discovered she was pregnant, her first reaction was a woman’s instinctive one—to protect the child!
Tears and snot covered her face, and she cried out to Enna Clark in a sobbing voice, “Save my child, Enna, save my child…”
Baron Lawrence was taken aback by the fact that Miranda was really pregnant, and his first reaction was to look at Enna Clark. He was afraid Enna Clark might misunderstand and think the child in Miranda’s belly was his.
Fortunately, Enna Clark didn’t think that way and instructed Scott Harris, “Mr. Harris, please call Ergency dical Services for .”
“Yes, Young Madam.”
Although Scott Harris didn’t like Miranda, his attitude towards innocent lives was the sa as Enna Clark’s, feeling that the little life was innocent.
Baron Lawrence was different; he didn’t have much worldview or sympathy. His worldview was Enna Clark! Miranda had caused so much trouble that, in his eyes, she was beyond redemption. He didn’t care whether Miranda was pregnant or whose child it was.
“Are you going to let her go?” That was all he cared about!
Letting Miranda go ant that once she got her breath back, she’d co up with new tricks.
He only cared about her safety!
Enna Clark seed to see through what he was thinking and gave him a sidelong glance, “Who said that? I’m just asking Mr. Harris to call Ergency dical Services to see if we can save the child. But whether it’s saved or not, it’s her own doing; I’ve done my best, and I have a clear conscience. After that, whether the child survives or not, I don’t want to see her in Country W again. I’ll send her back to Linton City, have soone watch her, and make sure she can’t stir up trouble again.”
“Miranda was right about one thing; Grandpa has only one granddaughter, so even if it’s for Grandpa’s sake, I wouldn’t really do anything to her.”
