"You..."
"You noticed?" Olivia Lewis blinked her eyes hard, grabbing Enna Clark’s shoulders excitedly.
Enna Clark carefully confird once more and hesitantly said, "Your makeup looks good today."
Olivia usually wears makeup when she goes out, but not as ticulously as today. In her own words, she was born naturally beautiful and didn’t want to make it too hard for others to compete.
Today was different. Not only was her makeup exceptionally detailed, but she even wore earrings, which was a rare event.
Enna was familiar with the earrings; Olivia bought them before she beca popular. She couldn’t borrow designer jewelry for an award ceremony, so she splurged on them.
Olivia usually is very frugal, to the point of practically worshipping those earrings that cost thousands of dollars, seldom wearing them.
Yet she wore them this ti.
It was truly strange.
Olivia waited a long ti just for that one sentence, and with eyes wide in disbelief, she exclaid, "That’s it?"
"Ah." Enna, being quite perceptive, saw that Olivia hadn’t let go and added, "And these earrings, they’re really pretty. Even after all this ti, they still look brand new."
"No wonder, because I haven’t worn them much since I bought them, of course they still look new!" Olivia released her grip, looking at her with an expression of frustration, conflicted. "I’ll give you a hint. Don’t you think there’s sothing different about today?"
"What’s different?"
"It’s unlike usual... a bit different..." Olivia was worried Enna might blurt out sothing like her hairstyle looked better today, so she quickly added, "I don’t an sothing local. I an overall! Is there sothing different about as a whole?"
Enna Clark, "As a whole?"
She looked up and down, left and right, thoroughly scanning. eting Olivia’s expectant gaze, she felt it would be embarrassing to admit she couldn’t see anything different.
"It does seem a bit different."
"Where?" Olivia leaned a little closer toward her.
"Um... you look prettier than usual." Enna offered a safe, catch-all answer.
Olivia’s mouth twitched intensely, her expression twisting as she grabbed her hand and yelled in frustration, "Enna Clark, why are you so slow? I seriously want to smack you and then die from embarrassnt!"
Enna Clark, "..."
She really hadn’t noticed anything different about Olivia.
Olivia had given up hope of her noticing, releasing her hand and saying dejectedly, "Co on, I’m at least a star; it’s normal for to look good. If I wasn’t good-looking, what would I be doing in the entertainnt industry? As for being prettier... impossible! I’m already the most beautiful; I can’t be any prettier."
This level of narcissism left her speechless.
Olivia was just being glib; she wasn’t the type who obsessively cares about looks. Frustrated by Enna Clark, she grabbed a glass from the table, gulped down over half a cup of coffee as if it was water, and slamd the cup back down heavily, finally suppressing her frustration. Staring into Enna Clark’s eyes, she enunciated, "Don’t you think I’m particularly ladylike today?"
Ladylike...
Enna Clark’s eye twitched with surprise.
From the start, Olivia was noisily waving, urgently asking her to see what was different, and eventually grabbing a coffee cup and gulping down half of it. She couldn’t see where the ladylike deanor Olivia ntioned was...
