Adam’s mom walked in wearing a Chanel suit and appropriate sa-colored high heels.
To raise a son like Adam and manage part of the Sinclair Family’s fashion industry, Sydney Sullivan’s fashion taste is unquestionable. The few simple accessories she wore effortlessly exuded the gracious aura a wealthy family Madam should possess.
Sydney Sullivan entered and saw Olivia Lewis, heading straight to their table.
Seeing not only Olivia Lewis but also Enna Clark at the table, her brows furrowed slightly but she said nothing. She pulled out a chair and sat down.
“Madam, may I ask what beverage you need?” The waiter approached with the nu.
Without looking, Sydney said, with an aristocratic air, “Please, a cup of Blue Mountain, no sugar.”
“Alright. Please wait a mont.” The waiter left with the nu to prepare.
Sydney didn’t rush to speak; she first picked up the lemon water, elegantly took a sip, then put it down. She glanced at Olivia Lewis across from her, and before Olivia could beco nervous, she put down the cup and said, “Ms. Lewis, there’s no need to be so tense. I asked you out today just to chat; I don’t intend to eat you.”
Olivia Lewis, “Haha…”
She wasn’t worried about the other actually eating her; she feared the other wouldn’t ‘eat’ her but would keep spitting insults.
Her main concern was that she might lose control and retaliate, and if the force wasn’t right, the other might not withstand it.
Enna Clark noticed her tension and quietly placed her hand over Olivia’s under the table for support.
Feeling the warmth on the back of her hand, Olivia turned her head to look at Enna, and much of the anxiety and irritation faded from her eyes. She settled down a bit, smiled, and said politely, “Aunt, what would you like to chat about?”
At that mont, the waiter brought over the coffee Sydney ordered. Sydney glanced at the ordinary coffee cup, paused briefly, then still placed it in front of her, running her finger over the cup. Raising her head, she looked straight at Olivia and said, “Do you know about the Sinclair Family’s affairs?”
The Sinclair Family’s affairs?
Not only Olivia, but even Enna was taken aback.
She thought with Sydney’s deanor, she’d straightforwardly ask Olivia to break up with Adam, but unexpectedly, she asked this, leaving her unsure what Sydney’s intentions were.
Olivia was also surprised, but she quickly responded and honestly said, “Honestly, I don’t know. I’m with Adam because of affection, and you may not believe it, but I’m genuinely not with him for his money.”
Sydney didn’t say whether she believed it or not, continuing, “Since you don’t know, I can chat with you about the Sinclair Family.”
“Please go ahead, Aunt.”
Unlike before, Sydney didn’t start by giving her a slap or throwing money to make her leave. Although the atmosphere made her uncomfortable, Olivia maintained basic courtesy.
Her principle is ‘treat others as they treat you’; simply put, whoever’s kind to her, she’ll be kind to them. Whoever’s rude to her, she’ll be rude back.
Today, Sydney was fairly polite to her, so of course she would politely listen.
She’s not foolish; if soone hasn’t provoked her, she wouldn’t respond with cold words. Not to ntion, considering Adam’s face, the person in front is his biological mother.
