Adam Sinclair’s teeth gnashed with a crunch, he really wanted to squeeze her to death!
Fortunately, Enna Clark had so perception, her eyes weren’t blind yet. She could tell that Adam likely knew about Olivia’s eting with his mom and wanted to talk to Olivia.
She also hoped Olivia could have a good chat with Adam.
She let go of Olivia Lewis’s hand, checked the ti, and apologetically said, "Why don’t you guys talk first, Bobby’s about to finish school. I’ll go pick him up and co back to find you?"
"What the heck, you’re abandoning ?" Olivia Lewis’s expression was like a soldier confronting a traitor.
Enna Clark was both laughing and crying, took out her phone and held it up to Olivia, "Look, Bobby’s already sent ssages. If I don’t pick him up, he’ll definitely be mad. I’m not leaving for good, just letting you guys chat for an hour. Once I pick up Bobby, I’ll bring him here."
She held the phone so close that Olivia could see clearly. There was indeed a threatening ssage from Bobby, essentially saying if Enna didn’t pick him up, he’d cut ties with her or sothing.
With the evidence right there, even though Enna was creating an opportunity for her and Adam, she couldn’t say anything. All she could do was sulk and say, "Rember to co back after you pick him up."
"Okay." Enna was already on her feet, picking up her bag.
As she passed by Adam, she heard him softly say thank you.
Enna felt overwheld, Olivia watched from behind, and she couldn’t respond. All she could do was hope that the two could have a good talk. Otherwise, given Olivia’s previous attitude, she worried they’d really break up.
If they broke up again, this would be the third ti.
Things usually don’t go past three. If this ti Olivia broke up with Adam again, her intuition told her that even if Olivia still liked Adam, their future was unlikely.
Olivia, hang in there.
...
As soon as Enna left, the café suddenly went quiet.
The distinguished man pulled out the chair beside him, sat down, his unfathomable gaze fixed steadily on the person across.
Olivia Lewis had been particularly restless since Enna left. Fidgeting as though there were pins on her seat, anxiously shifting positions.
Adam didn’t rush to talk to her but just watched her silently.
Feeling guilty and frustrated about being watched, Olivia propped herself up on the table, picked up her coffee, and gulped down half a cup, launching the first move, "Why are you staring at ? Didn’t you have sothing to say to ? Spit it out."
She thought she wasn’t being obvious, but the stiffness and deliberate detachnt in her tone were unmistakable.
Knowing her so well, Adam would have guessed it even if he weren’t aware she’d t his mom.
Before coming to the café, he was so anxious he broke into a sweat. But with this woman sitting across from him, he suddenly cald down. Facing Olivia’s harsh words, he could still smile, "Looking at your pretty face. I like the way you dressed today."
Olivia stiffened, almost losing her composure. For a mont, she maintained her fierce deanor, harshly retorting, "I didn’t dress for you, what do your preferences have to do with ?"
"Oh, so who did you dress for?" Adam asked, crossing his hands on the table, calmly saying, "My mom?"
