Baron Lawrence discreetly held her hand in his, his handso face covered with a layer of frost, and his gaze towards the taunting man resembled looking at a dead person.
"Let handle it if you’re upset, you don’t need to worry about it." His voice was soft but loud enough for Enna Clark to hear.
The warmth from his palm eased Enna’s uncomfortable feelings sowhat. She took a deep breath and exhaled the stale air from her chest, gently shaking her head, "It’s fine, it doesn’t upset much, I’m used to it. Let handle it myself. I don’t have any secrets and I doubt he can reveal anything surprising."
A well-planned banquet suddenly turned into such a farce, drawing everyone’s attention to them.
The crowd was filled with hushed whispers, and experts engaged in quiet discussions.

The focus of the gossip shifted from these two coming to find Enna Clark to questioning whether Enna’s biological mother was a mistress who intervened in soone else’s family.
The young girl next to Wendy Hanson listened, her eyes wide with shock, her gaze toward Enna turning hateful and disdainful. With one hand hooked around Wendy’s arm, she clicked her tongue, her face full of scornful emotion, "Sister Wendy, did you hear? Her mom turns out to be a mistress. That’s so unexpected."
