In the ten minutes Enna Clark took a shower, he made three calls in a row, basically finalizing the termination of the cooperation between the Lawrence Family and EZ.
He also called over to Mr. Hanson, briefly explaining what happened tonight; he didn’t ntion that the invitation was given to Jacob Clark by Wendy Hanson. He believed Mr. Hanson could make his own judgnt, and how Wendy explained it to him was her business, he wouldn’t interfere.
Initially, the Old Man didn’t agree with him terminating the contract, but after hearing about the invitation, he tacitly approved his decision to stop cooperating with EZ. This surprised Baron Lawrence; he thought he would have to argue with the Old Man before he would compromise, not expecting him to give in so quickly.
The last call he made was to the prosecutor’s office, personally greeting them and instructing them to investigate Jacob Clark and Juliet Jordan strictly.
Apart from the charge of murdering Samantha Lewis, anything like bribery or tax evasion could be uncovered, ultimately ensuring Jacob Clark couldn’t spend the rest of his life out of prison.
No matter how much he detested Jacob Clark, it couldn’t change the fact that the man was Enna Clark’s biological father. As long as Jacob Clark was Enna’s biological father, he could never directly crush Jacob, or there would be a rift between him and Enna. But Jacob Clark was too much of an eyesore; he had tolerated him many tis, yet the man never knew when to stop and occasionally threw himself into danger.
This ti, luckily, Enna Clark wasn’t hurt. But it upset her mood.
So, the best solution was to keep Jacob Clark in a safe place, where he couldn’t die or cause trouble.
Since Jacob was uneasy overseas, he could only send him to prison. In a place like prison, he couldn’t just escape whenever he wanted.
Baron Lawrence thought of Enna Clark’s desolate expression this evening, his heart felt crushed, making it hard to breathe.
After taking care of everything, he stood up from the sofa and went back to the bedroom.
The water in the bathroom of the bedroom had already stopped, but the person inside hadn’t co out yet. He stood impatiently at the door, took out a cigarette, and unusually lit it, holding it between his fingers, and started smoking.

Inside, Enna Clark finally dried her hair, and wearing a bathrobe, she opened the door.
As soon as she opened the door, she saw the man standing and smoking at the door, and exclaid in surprise, "Baron Lawrence, what are you standing here for?"
The tall man flicked the ash off his cigarette, wanting to smoke, but his eyes fell on her fair little face, frowning. He threw the cigarette on the ground and crushed it with his toe. His eyes wandered over her face, gradually moving downwards, fixing on her plump and moist lips after the bath.
Enna Clark felt baffled by his gaze, still holding the clothes she had changed out of, and couldn’t help but call out to him again tentatively, "Baron Lawrence, could you move aside so I can get out?"
He was blocking the doorway, and she couldn’t get out to place her clothes.
