“Oh.” The little one puffed up her face, blinking her big eyes repeatedly. Her desire overca her fear of Brubby, and she secretly whispered to her mummy, “Gigi also wants to play. Can Brubby take Gigi to play?”
Speaking with mummy is far more effective than directly asking Brubby. This is a lesson she learned through trials and tears.
Naughty Brubby listens to no one except mummy.
“Well…” Enna Clark rubbed her soft hair with a helpless smile, softly explaining, “I’m afraid not. It’s not that your brother doesn’t want to play with you — you’re just too young for such grown-up gas.”

But that show had too many violent scenes, not suitable for kids. Enna Clark strictly prohibited Gigi from watching it.

Sure enough, upon hearing about her favorite cartoon, Gigi imdiately forgot about her brother, bouncing with excitent, “Watch cartoons, mummy, Gigi wants cartoons, not Brubby gas.”

Like a little monkey, Gigi jumped onto Enna Clark’s lap, and Enna sat on the living room sofa with her to watch.
Joanne, showing great consideration, brought over the milk that Gigi wanted, coaxed her into drinking it as she got engrossed in the cartoon, then quietly retreated to join them and watch…
After one episode, Gigi watched with unfulfilled curiosity, clenching her little fists as she suddenly turned to Enna Clark and said, “Mummy, when I grow up, I want to be a Police officer who catches bad guys, like Black Cat Detective.”
“Haha…” Joanne Harrison couldn’t help but laugh, initially wanting to tell her that she, as the daughter of the Habsden Family and Lawrence Corporation, really didn’t need to take up such tough work as policing.
But then, she heard Enna Clark warmly reply, “That’s great, Gigi. You’re amazing.”
“Haha, mummy is amazing too.”
Watching the sweet interactions between the mother and daughter on the sofa, Joanne swallowed her words. The longer she spent with Young Madam, the more she understood why President Lawrence adored her so much because being around Young Madam was so comforting. She had a way of soothing the fiercest tempers.
Just as a mont ago, she found herself unexpectedly healed.
