Olivia Lewis lowered her hat brim and, after listening to so gossip, discreetly headed towards the President’s office.
She had no interest in the gossip within these circles, after all, she was the center of gossip herself. Being gossiped about so much had made her lose interest in gossiping about others.
She had been to August Oliver’s office once before, so this ti she didn’t need to find her way, and easily arrived at the office door. She raised her hand and knocked on the door.
"Knock, knock."
"Co in."
It was August Oliver’s voice.
When Olivia Lewis heard this voice now, she still felt a bit dazed, always feeling that the owner of the voice was different from the boy in her mory with whom she watched stars, drank beer, and sang songs.
She brushed off that small sense of disparity, pushed open the door, and said while walking in, "Sorry to disturb you, President Oliver."
August Oliver was sitting behind a large desk.
Olivia Lewis didn’t make eye contact with him and went straight to the point, "President Oliver, I’m here today just to talk to you about the movie the other day. I’ve seriously thought it over, and I still don’t think I’m suitable for Director Leigh’s script. You don’t need to hold onto the script until the end of the month, let Director Leigh find a more suitable actor for this role."
"Are you sure you don’t want to reconsider?" August Oliver furrowed his brows, his dark eyes looking at her, with what seed like stars and oceans deep within them.
Olivia Lewis didn’t notice his gaze, but the other person in the office did, and raised an eyebrow in surprise.
"I’m sure." Olivia Lewis’s attitude was very firm.
August Oliver’s furrowed brows slowly relaxed, and he said, pursing his lips, "Since you have thought it through, I respect your choice. I will continue to keep an eye out for good scripts for you. If I see one that’s suitable, I’ll let you know."
These words seed normal enough, but when heard, they sounded slightly ambiguous.
"..." Olivia Lewis didn’t know how to respond.
August Oliver knew how to stop at the right mont; he noticed Olivia Lewis’s discomfort, his eyes, although carrying nostalgia, his rose-colored lips pressed together as he said, "I understand. I’ll talk to Director Leigh. You may leave now."
"Thanks, President Oliver." Olivia Lewis breathed a sigh of relief, preparing to leave.
Just then, the person on the inconspicuous sofa in the corner of the office also stood up, and said to August Oliver, "President Oliver, I’ll also step out to handle the onboarding procedures."
"Ms. Lewis, why don’t we leave together?"
Only then did Olivia Lewis notice there was a third person in the office, and she actually knew this person, it was her earlier first love she had bumped into with Adam Sinclair at the supermarket.

Renee wasn’t upset by Olivia Lewis’s indifferent attitude; she thick-skinnedly followed Olivia Lewis out.
Once out of the office, Olivia Lewis did not waste a single second and promptly said, "I’m sorry, I have sothing to do, I’ll be on my way."
She didn’t wait for Renee’s reaction before planning to leave.
Renee’s eyes flickered for a mont, and she suddenly called out to her, "Wait a minute, Ms. Lewis."
Olivia Lewis paused but didn’t turn around.
Renee hadn’t expected the other party to be so unyielding, and her lips curled up as she said with composure and grace, "I didn’t expect Adam Sinclair now to be interested in Ms. Lewis’s type. His taste really is getting more daring."
