The school generally doesn’t allow cars to enter, but this rule does not apply to vehicles of authority figures.
Two cars drove in, one after another.
The black rcedes in front clearly had a governnt license plate, but the Principal wasn’t so sure about the owner of the limited edition Lincoln following behind.
His emotions were a mix of anticipation and anxiety as he waited for the cars to stop. He proactively stepped forward to open the door for the leaders, welcoming the Education Bureau officials as they stepped out of the car.
However, the officials didn’t acknowledge his attempts to curry favor, instead standing in place, clearly waiting for the person from the car behind to step out.
Soon, the Lincoln ca to a stop, and the driver circled around to open the car door.
A pair of long legs first caught everyone’s eye, followed by a handso man exuding a powerful aura as he alighted from the car.
Bobby’s horoom teacher covered her mouth, exclaiming in surprise, "Tobias Clark’s father."
Previously, they had seen Baron Lawrence from afar once, but at that ti, he was dressed in casual wear with Enna Clark by his side, so his presence was far less imposing than it was now, where he seed to oppressively dominate the atmosphere, leaving people breathless.
Previously indifferent to the Principal, the Education Bureau leader now hurriedly walked over with a smile, "President Lawrence, shall we head in together?"
"Yes."
The two of them walked ahead of the group, one in front of the other.
This attitude was entirely different from before.
The Principal had already realized the school might face a disaster today, yet he had no choice but to follow with a brave face.
The group went to the Headmaster’s Office.
The situation had completely reversed from earlier when Enna Clark and Bobby were standing while the Director of Education and several teachers sat there in an accusatory manner.
Now, the roles had reversed completely, with only one person sitting—Baron Lawrence!
The man sat casually on the sofa, his long legs crossed, with tightly pressed thin lips and half-closed eyelids that made it impossible to ascertain his emotions. His posture was tall and dignified, and although he didn’t speak, he captured the attention of everyone in the room.
"Deputy Director Barry, the reason for your visit today is..." The Principal, struggling to breathe under Baron Lawrence’s overwhelming presence, forced a smile and inquired of the middle-aged man accompanying him.
The middle-aged man, with kind eyes and a benevolent smile like a Maitreya Buddha, cheerfully patted his belly and said, "It’s nothing major. You see, we previously allocated a sum of educational funding to you, and well, this funding is actually provided by the Lawrence Corporation. Now, President Lawrence here has so doubts about whether Redlands High School qualifies for this funding, so I brought him over to inspect."
The Principal’s face changed instantly. He never imagined that the funds allocated by the Education Bureau were provided by the Lawrence Corporation, and Baron Lawrence wasn’t directly addressing previous matters but rather leveraging this critical funding against the school.
"Would President Lawrence like to take a tour of the school?" The Principal, unsure of Baron Lawrence’s intentions, asked cautiously.
Everyone held their breath and looked at the distinguished man. Finally, he moved, his sharp gaze falling on the Principal, as piercing as a knife, "No need, I’ll directly review the teaching staff data."
Having brought the school’s superiors with him, the Principal dared not refuse his request, and could only instruct soone to bring over the teaching staff data.
While Bobby’s horoom teacher retrieved the material from the Academic Affairs Office, the Principal mustered his courage to approach the man, apologizing with a forced smile, "President Lawrence, I only just heard about your son’s issue, and I’ve already severely criticized the involved teacher."
