In fact, she was overthinking it; Enna Clark wasn’t affected at all by her words.
She was particularly calm and composed, her deanor resembling soone who had been well-educated from a young age.
"Ms. Hanson, I ntioned that your venting is your business, but I have no obligation to keep you company. The store has surveillance, and your words and actions have all been recorded on it. I will hand it over to the person coming to pick you up later."
This simple sentence successfully immobilized the hysterical person who wanted to see Enna Clark distressed, as if she’d been slapped hard. Her face turned red, then white, looking extrely unpleasant.
Just then, Emily Goldsmith, who was trying on clothes in the fitting room, also heard the commotion and ca out.
Wendy Hanson’s words to Enna Clark were heard clearly by Emily, and as she erged, she walked over to Wendy with a stern face, upset, and said, "Sister Wendy, I thought you genuinely wanted to go shopping with today. Now it seems you didn’t. Sorry, I’m heading out with my friend now, could you please not disturb us?"
Her attitude clearly showed she was siding with Enna Clark.
"Emily, you—" Wendy Hanson’s expression changed, disbelief written across her face.
Emily Goldsmith was genuinely annoyed and pressed her lips tightly in anger, saying through gritted teeth, "I really hate being used by others! Especially by friends! If soone is using , it ans they don’t see as a friend; I don’t consider them as one either! I was planning to introduce you to Enna today, but Sister Wendy, is this the reason you insisted on tagging along for shopping? Your purpose today wasn’t to shop at all."
Wendy Hansen, straightly accused, looked embarrassed and unable to defend herself, "I wanted to shop with you, but I had sothing to say to Ms. Clark beforehand."
"What you wanted to say was what you just said?" Emily Goldsmith, eyes glistening with anger, stood protectively in front of Enna Clark, "If those are your words, please leave! I won’t allow anyone to insult my friends! What you said about Enna’s birth — a person’s birth isn’t sothing they can choose. I’ve heard about Enna’s mom too, she didn’t do anything wrong, she was just deceived! Using soone’s deceased mother to attack them, don’t you feel ashad? Also, you just shoved soone down. Did you even ask if they were hurt or apologize? Is this the kind of education the Hanson family provides? Soday I might confront Grandpa Hanson and ask why you’ve beco like this!"
Every word spoken by Emily Goldsmith was firm and powerful in defense of her friend. Enna Clark never imagined she’d be defended so strongly, even risking directly breaking ties with Wendy Hanson.
Wendy Hanson was rendered speechless by the bombardnt of questions, failing to maintain even a basic expression; her beautiful eyes shifted from panic to anger, then from anger to resentnt. Tears rapidly welled up in her eyes, and she clenched her fists, finally unable to hold back as she shouted in fury at Emily Goldsmith, "I just hate her! Can’t stand her!"
Emily Goldsmith’s eyes widened in disbelief at her irrational behavior, "You’re simply unreasonable!"
She turned to ask Enna Clark, "Enna, have you inford the Hanson family yet?"
"Yes, I just had soone notify them."
She let out a sigh of relief, "That’s good."
Wendy’s loss of control today had left her at a loss for what to do, better to have soone from the Hanson family co to pick her up.
