The large room was piled with all kinds of miscellaneous items.
Makeup, clothes, gifts from fans, flowers... all placed haphazardly, with staff members bustling about inside the room; the backstage was anything but quiet.

"Right away, right away, just the setting powder left to finish." The makeup artist was just as busy as anyone, wishing she had an extra hand, quickly fiddling with the face of the person sitting in the chair.
The person with closed eyes looked pure and pretty, with great skin, and looked even better with makeup on.
No wonder she could bee a star.
Enna Clark glanced at her several times, and just at that moment, the person opened their eyes suddenly, catching Enna’s gaze through the mirror.

The makeup artist paused as she saw her suddenly pull away her brush and looked in the direction she indicated, seeing Enna Clark and Emily Goldsmith. She realized and said, "Those two? I think Sister Sunny brought them over, not sure if they’re actors or what, maybe newers."
"Are they also getting makeup?" Lydia Bell frowned slightly, feeling that Enna Clark looked familiar.
The makeup artist switched brushes, preparing to add some blush, dismissively saying, "Sister Sunny’s assistant said to touch up their makeup, but it shouldn’t be important. I’ll finish Lydia Bell’s makeup first, then go and do a quick touch-up on theirs."
This newer has been on a rapid rise recently. Though fresh on the scene, she has strong backing behind her. She’s been getting work resources effortlessly. Now, joining this crew, the Director originally wanted another actress to pair with Olivia Lewis, but on the day before the press conference, Lydia Bell took over the role. The actress originally set for the role accepted the female protagonist in another large-scale costume drama. Rumors in the circle say Lydia Bell convinced her financial backer to swap resources with that actress.
People were baffled as to why Lydia Bell turned down a good big IP costume drama for this movie that clearly wasn’t destined for a big box office.
Movies have higher prestige than TV series, but it depends on what movie and TV series.
As a newer, for Lydia Bell, exposure was more important than anything else. Now, acting in a big IP to boost her recognition was the best choice. She used her good work resources to exchange for others’ lesser resources, and many people in the industry were waiting to see her make a fool of herself. They all thought she was a fresh-faced newer, and even with a financial backer, she’d eventually fizzle out.
The makeup artist also thought the same, but with Lydia Bell still backed by her financial supporter, she dared not provoke her and had to carefully flatter this capricious little princess.
"I’ve done your basic makeup, so let’s add some blush, and then you can point out what else you’d like to adjust, and I’ll slowly tweak it."
But Lydia Bell, sitting there, suddenly stood up, pushing away the makeup artist’s hand reaching for the blush. "No need, let’s leave it like this. Focus on them first."
