A woman in her twenties hurried anxiously in their direction. Upon seeing the little girl in Baron Lawrence’s arms, she visibly relaxed, her hand reaching out towards the child, “Gigi, you scared to death.”

The child’s big round eyes spun as if she was figuring out how to curl her tongue. Her cheeks flushed from effort as she finally called out correctly with perfect pronunciation under the woman’s expectant gaze, “Mom.”

“Gigi, Mummy has told you many tis, it’s Mom. And rember, don’t call everyone Mow, okay?”
Her voice was warm and inviting.
