"Drip, drop!"

Water droplets hit his face, the cold sensation making Mono slowly open his eyes.

Before him was an unfamiliar forest.

A few rays of dim sunlight filtered down, making Mono feel a bit more awake.

He slowly sat up and looked around.

The area was filled with giant trees, with so swamps scattered in the distance.

A faint mist drifted through the woods, and combined with the already dim light, it made the entire environnt feel oppressive and eerie.

"How did I end up in this strange place?"

Mono rembered he was pulling an all-nighter playing a ga called [little nightmares] and accidentally fell asleep.

How did he end up here as soon as he woke up?

Just as he was thinking.

"Ding!"

"System activated!"

"Current World: [little nightmares]"

"Current Identity: Mono."

"Age: 12."

"Height: 17.8 cm."

"Weight: 6.5 kg."

"Strength: 0.08."

"Speed: 0.09."

"Spirit: 0.60."

Mastered Abilities:

[Teleportation (Activation Progress 0.02/1.00)]

[Mind Wave (Activation Progress 0.08/1.00)]

Items:

[Square Hood (Woven from a torn paper bag, it can hide your face, reduce your presence, and make it harder for enemies to detect you)]

...

In an instant, a lot of unfamiliar knowledge was suddenly poured into Mono's mind.

He had transmigrated into the world of [little nightmares], and he had even beco the tragic little boy, Mono?

Mono looked at the eerie forest around him and swallowed hard.

Damn it, although he liked playing this ga, he never wanted to personally experience the process.

One must know that the monsters in [little nightmares] are all terrifying and very bizarre.

Like the "Hunter" who wanders around the forest, or the long-necked Female Teacher in the school who likes to forcefully instill her own thoughts into students.

There's also the obese Monster Doctor in the Hospital who conducts puppet human experints, and even himself—everyone is very dangerous.

Of course, the most terrifying thing of all is Six.

Yes, Six.

This Little person who abandoned him in the end (Six: Are you saying I'm small?) is the culprit who caused him to fall into the cycle of reincarnation.

The people here, even a tiny existence, could hide imnse danger.

With the slightest carelessness, he would fall into an abyss of eternal damnation.

"Ding! System notification: Detected that the master is being too pessimistic!"

"Excessive pessimism will only lead to failure. Please pull yourself together imdiately, Master."

"As long as the Master can kill the monsters of this century, there will be a chance to pick up Abilities dropped by the monsters and obtain a large amount of progress points."

"progress points can be used to strengthen the Abilities the Master has already mastered. When an Ability is strengthened enough, it can even break through the limits of mortals."

"Although the Nightmare World is terrifying, it is not a shackle."

"Please take action as soon as possible, Master."

After the system finished its notification, it vanished without a trace.

Mono called out a few tis, and seeing there was no response, he had no choice but to accept the situation.

He was not soone who liked being passive.

Since he couldn't escape this world for the ti being, he could only learn to adapt to it.

...

Mono cald down.

He looked back and noticed a Television not far away.

Mono knew what was hidden behind that Television and had no curious intention of investigating it.

Moreover, he didn't have a Remote now, so even if he wanted to investigate, he couldn't.

Mono checked his bearings and chose to walk in the opposite direction of the Television.

Under the dim forest, surrounded by bushes and mist, wet blades of grass brushed against Mono's pant legs, soon soaking them through.

He felt a bit cold.

After walking for a while, an obstacle appeared before him.

A deep trench about 40 centiters wide.

40 centiters, for an adult, is just the distance of two palms.

But for the currently severely shrunken Mono, it was like a small natural chasm.

Mono glanced down into the pit and saw a swarm of black-haired flies as big as his fist circling around a rotting rat carcass.

As the stench hit him, Mono frowned.

This rat had obviously died from the fall and was now lying at the bottom of the pit, serving as a breeding ground.

In perhaps less than two days, not even the bones would remain.

Mono realized the danger of this world once again.

However, he looked at the distance and felt he could still jump over this trench.

Mono took a few steps back, then sprinted forward, using the montum to leap directly toward the opposite bank.

"Thud!"

His feet landed precariously on the edge.

Mono looked down and breathed a sigh of relief.

This was the first ti he had done sothing so thrilling; for a mont, his heart was racing.

Mono continued forward.

A giant tree suddenly appeared ahead.

The tree had Intertwined Roots, blocking all paths forward.

However, at the base of the tree, there was an iron grate.

Mono walked straight to the grate, climbed over it, and then passed through a hollow ford by the roots.

The inside of the tree hollow was dark and damp, filled with the sll of rotting earth.

Mono's expression remained normal.

He had already begun to get used to the slls emitted by this world.

However, when he stepped out of the tree hollow from the other side, he was still startled.

He saw a large, heavy bag of corpses hanging from the top of a tall tree on this side.

These were the corpses of so adults (ten tis the size of the Little people).

These people had all been killed; who was the one who did it?

Mono did not remain puzzled for long; a figure flashed through his mind.

The Hunter?

Apart from him, Mono truly couldn't think of a second person capable of such cruelty.

"This terrifying individual is active in this forest, slaughtering those who stumble into his traps." Mono beca even more cautious.

The Hunter was a difficult character to deal with.

Not just because he had a gun.

But more so because this fellow was inherently cruel, or perhaps had long since discarded his humanity, becoming a monster that knew only slaughter.

Mono continued forward and discovered a trap using a dead mouse as bait.

This trap was clearly set by the Hunter.

It appeared crude yet carried a hint of cruelty.

Naturally, Mono wouldn't fall for such an obvious tripwire trap.

He simply went around it.

As he walked, he suddenly noticed so rags and shoes scattered on the ground, half-buried in dead leaves and twigs.

It seed many people had perished here.
