Before a mont had even passed after Mono was ready—

"Boom!"

A loud bang suddenly ca from the doorway.

Imdiately following, a violent tremor shook the wooden cabin.

Dust fell from the ceiling, and the floorboards seed unable to bear the weight, letting out heavy creaks.

Mono was once again surprised by the strength displayed by the Hunter.

"Hey, aim at the door."

However, now that things had co to this, Mono didn't think about retreating.

No matter how powerful the Hunter was, one shot would still kill what needed to be killed.

But he had to wait for the right mont.

The Musket was old-fashioned and required gunpowder loading.

He only had one chance to shoot.

If he failed, then he could only continue to make a run for it.

But Mono didn't plan on continuing to live a life of anxiety like a rat crossing the street.

Besides, he had sworn that he would kill the Hunter no matter what.

Mono didn't want to break his oath.

He was taking this monster of a Hunter's life!

Even if Jesus himself ca, he couldn't save him.

"Bang~"

"Thud~"

"Thud~"

The wooden door was struck again and again until it finally reached its breaking point.

Suddenly, a large hole was smashed through it.

A massive head slowly poked through the large hole.

That face, wrapped in rotting rags, emitted a foul stench and let out series of snorts, exuding a murderous aura.

His head, having squeezed through the hole, scanned the room.

With a sudden turn of the head, he seed to have spotted the two of them.

"Crack, crack, crack~"

The door creaked and groaned as he squeezed, trying to force his way in.

"Hey! Aim at his head! Hold the muzzle steady!"

Mono hurriedly shouted.

"Ready! Shoot, quickly!"

Sam was already prepared; she knew exactly what the situation was.

Mono's finger was already on the trigger.

He pushed forward with his palm.

"Click~"

"BOOM——————"

A massive roar instantly exploded.

Mono felt as if his body had been shattered by a massive force, and he was sent flying backward.

Sam was also blown back several ters, then collapsed to the side.

The recoil of the Musket was simply terrifying.

This wasn't a gun; it was clearly a cannon.

Ignoring the pain, Mono hurriedly looked toward the doorway.

He saw that the doorway had already been blasted into fragnts, with pieces smoldering with smoke.

And the Hunter's head, which had just been trying to squeeze inside, was long gone.

Mono slowly crawled up and walked toward the door.

At the doorway, he saw a body clad in heavy, foul rags lying stiffly in the yard.

The Hunter's head was gone.

And the "snorting" had stopped.

Clearly, he was as dead as could be.

"Ding!"

"Congratulations, Master, for successfully killing the Hunter!"

"Obtained the Hunter's Ability [Blind Hearing] (Your hearing will be increased tenfold based on your base attributes)"

"Obtained the Hunter's Ability [Divine Shot] (Within ten seconds, you can fire ten consecutive shots with unerring accuracy. Stones, swords, and guns can all be used as projectiles.)" (Drawback: You will be exhausted for three minutes after rapid fire!)

"Congratulations, Master, for obtaining 0.30 progress points!"

The system notification sound, which had been silent for a long ti, echoed in Mono's mind once again.

Blind Hearing, Divine Shot?

Looking at the prompts for these two skills, Mono finally understood why the Hunter's marksmanship was so god-tier even without eyes.

Having gained these two powerful skills, he was finally happy.

The obtained Abilities were already in an activated state and did not require progress points to activate like the ones he already possessed.

Of course, he could still use progress points to strengthen these two Abilities to reach higher levels.

The hardships along the way had finally not been in vain.

"But why are there only 0.3 progress points?"

Mono looked at the final prompt and felt annoyed again.

If he rembered correctly, the system had told him at the beginning that killing monsters would grant a large amount of progress points.

But it didn't even break past the decimal point. Could this be considered 'a large amount'?

"Ding! System notification!"

"If Master does not want them, the system can reclaim them!"

Mono: "Is there compensation?"

"Ding! No compensation."

"You're truly shaless!" Mono complained.

System: "Ding! Thank you for the complint!"

Mono: "..."

Ding my ass, I'm going to uninstall you one day.

Mono was sowhat speechless but didn't plan to argue further.

Anyway, this wave wasn't a loss!

Mono glanced down once more at the thoroughly dead Hunter.

Just like the people and prey he had slaughtered, his fate was ultimately ended by a hunting rifle. Truly, the world is unpredictable.

"Flap, flap!"

Black crows flapped their wings as they flew down from the trees.

They landed on the liquid flowing out.

Blood stained their already pitch-black feathers and beaks even darker.

So flew directly onto his corpse.

Perhaps before long, the Hunter's corpse would turn into nutrients for this forest, flying to every shadowed corner.

Mono thought blankly.

But just as he was watching, a faint strange sound suddenly reached his ears.

"What's this?"

Mono turned his head, sowhat puzzled.

What was that whimpering? Why did it sound like crying?

Mono hurriedly looked back into the house.

When he saw the situation behind him, he was stunned.

He saw Sixth Master sitting in the corner, her head buried in her knees, holding them tightly, her shoulders trembling slightly.

Only faintly could a low sob be heard.

This?

The incredibly steadfast Sixth Master was actually crying? How was that possible?

He rubbed his eyes and stared wide-eyed once more.

Everything before his eyes remained unchanged; it wasn't an illusion.

Could she be injured?

Mono walked over with steady steps.

"Hey, what's wrong with you?"
