Mono walked along the alleyway.

He stopped in front of a tall building.

This was still on the edge of the city.

Mono had no intention of heading toward the city center.

He had already been busy all day in the forest across the lake, and in the middle of the night, his rest had been disturbed by so unknown black shadow.

He was still feeling ntally fatigued.

Such a state was not suitable for continuing to push forward.

"Let's find a place to rest in this building first," Mono said to Sam.

Sam nodded.

Looking in from outside the main entrance, one could only see pitch blackness.

Entering inside, it appeared even darker.

Mono took a lighter out from his breast pocket.

It was the lighter engraved with flower petals that he had picked up at the Hunter's residence.

"Click~"

As the firelight shone, the scenery around the first floor clearly appeared before the eyes of the two.

There wasn't much difference from the outside.

Thick dust was scattered around, cobwebs coiled between the ceiling and the beams; everything was very quiet.

It seed no one lived here either.

Mono did not let down his guard because of this.

Everything here was very eerie.

Sotis, one cannot make judgnts simply by looking at the surface of things.

He took Little Six and began to explore the house to ensure there were truly no other occupants.

The second floor was just like the first, a vast emptiness.

"Keep going up."

Mono and Little Six cooperated to climb the stairs.

The stairs here were also sowhat dilapidated.

So were even broken in half from the middle, which caused him so trouble.

Fortunately, Sixth Master was very reliable.

She could always jump across easily and then catch him.

The cooperation between the two beca increasingly seamless.

Sotis they didn't even need to speak; just a look was enough to understand each other perfectly.

However, Mono still felt depressed about it.

In their cooperation, he was always the one being supported.

This made him feel his own weakness.

This was truly sad news.

Going up the building, they finally reached the top floor.

The tenth floor was separated by a door.

Mono cooperated with Sixth Master once again.

She jumped first to grab the doorknob, and then he jumped to pull her.

The weight of the two people pulled open the locked door.

Mono cautiously walked inside through the gap in the opened door.

But he had barely taken two steps into the room.

"Click~"

A burst of white light suddenly lit up inside the room.

Mono was startled; could there be soone inside?

However, before Mono could make any reaction.

"Buzz~"

Bursts of ear-piercing buzzing suddenly echoed in the room.

Mono suddenly felt a violent stimulation in his head.

This sound was truly awful, just like the skin-crawling sound of soone scraping glass hard with their fingernails.

He looked up and discovered that the light and sound were coming from an old-fashioned Television placed in the room.

The black-and-white Television, flickering with sizzling static patterns, seed to have no signal; the sound of the current made his eardrums ache.

Mono was startled when he saw this Television.

This familiar feeling?

Mono didn't have ti to think and hurriedly exited the room.

He knew what was hidden inside the Television.

But he had no intention of contacting the future Mono right now.

Because the future Mono was not an easy person to get along with.

Could a twisted soul interwoven with resentnt and anger be easy to get along with?

Mono silently exited the room.

He stopped Little Six, who was just about to go in.

"What's wrong?"

Little Six was sowhat puzzled, not knowing why Mono's face had beco so pale after entering and leaving the room.

"It's a bit slly inside, let's find another place."

Mono did not explain the situation.

Little Six seed to have a grudge against the future Mono; if she went in, Mono wasn't sure if so unexpected incident would occur.

In this lethal environnt, Mono didn't like any surprises.

So, what could be avoided must be avoided.

Although Little Six was still a bit puzzled, she didn't doubt Mono's words.

Because she rembered that Mono did indeed seem to have a germaphobia.

Didn't he vomit for a long ti last ti?

Little Six shook her head again, a flicker of emotion passing through her eyes beneath her bangs.

It seed... she had forgotten what it felt like last ti.

She touched her lips.

It seed, it was a very strange feeling.

...

Mono found a clean spot.

It was a storage cabinet.

There were jars on both sides, which could hide their figures.

Even if sothing suddenly ca in, it wouldn't be able to discover him imdiately.

Little Six also climbed onto the cabinet.

Seeing Mono leaning against the wall with his eyes closed, she also walked over and sat down beside him.

Then, looking at the seemingly exhausted Mono, she thought for a mont and suddenly grabbed his hand.

Then she tilted her head, leaned against him, and also closed her eyes.

It seed that leaning like this could make one feel warr.

Mono did not reject this.

He was very tired now.

He had been escaping for almost the entire day.

He had to rest well and recover his energy.

Ti passed slowly.

The surroundings were silent, and their two breaths slowly rged.

If one set aside everything happening outside, this scene would appear so heartwarming to others.

...

Ti passed slowly.

The surrounding mist gathered and dispersed, wandering and circling endlessly.

Not knowing how long he had slept, Mono woke up leisurely again.

He felt that his previous fatigue had dissipated.

The recovery ability of his useless body seed quite good, which was truly sothing to be happy about.

He raised his head and looked around.

Everything before him was still sowhat gloomy.

"Why is it still so dark? Could it be that dawn hasn't broken yet?"

That shouldn't be right?

Mono was puzzled.

It was already midnight when they crossed the lake.

Now that so much ti had passed, the sun should have co out.

But looking at the window, it was no different from what he had seen just now.

He wanted to get up and check, but with a slight movent, he suddenly heard even breathing from beside him.

He saw Sixth Master with her eyes closed, leaning against him steadily again, sleeping soundly.

Her hands were wrapped around his waist.

Seeing this, Mono stopped his movents.

"I really didn't expect her to look quite well-behaved while sleeping?"

Mono looked at her sleeping with pursed lips and couldn't help but murmur.

Who could have imagined that this Sixth Master would beco a monster who kills without blinking in the future?

Leaning against the bookshelf like this, Mono thought while occasionally glancing at Sixth Master.

By the ti Sixth Master slowly woke up, another hour had passed.

"Alright, you're sleeping like a pig. We have to go."

Mono hurriedly gave her a nudge.

Sam cleared her head.

She rubbed her eyes, only then realizing she seed to have fallen asleep again.
