Although the animals Xu Yi hunted weren’t fierce beasts, such low points made him feel a bit helpless.

How many points would a fierce beast be worth?

points?

Or 10 points?

To earn 100 points, how many animals would one have to hunt?

Animals worth 100 points would be enough to eat for several months, right?

It’s not normal; Xu Yi felt that these points weren’t quite right.

It’s more important than food and certainly has a special role; those supplies must be significant. Perhaps, at a critical mont, they could save a life.

If exchanged right from the start, maybe later there would be regrets.

"Now, should we take this animal back to camp?" Lu Ke glanced around; it was almost 11 o’clock, and returning would take three to four hours.

"First, we’ll kill it, then slice it into pieces to see if it can attract carnivores," Xu Yi said, then approached the tree sheep and lifted it onto his back.

"Let’s head out; it’s too dense here," Xu Yi said as he began to walk, with Lu Ke following behind, cautiously watching the surroundings, taking on the task of being alert.

Outside, Xu Yi found a suitably sized tree and tossed the tree sheep to the side.

"I’ll go gather so firewood. If any fierce beasts co, climb the tree," Xu Yi instructed Lu Ke.

"Okay, be careful," Lu Ke put down her backpack, reminding Xu Yi.

Xu Yi nodded, then headed off to gather firewood.

Soon, Xu Yi ca back carrying a bundle of firewood, with so dry grass in the backpack.

Upon returning, Lu Ke was still guarding beside the tree sheep.

"Xu Yi, are we going to smoke the at?" Lu Ke asked. If Xu Yi didn’t intend to, there would be no need to gather firewood—just kill the tree sheep and take the at back.

"Yes, let’s smoke as much as we can," Xu Yi replied, taking out his knife, preparing to start skinning.

Their food reserves were still limited; at the mont, food was the most pressing issue they needed to resolve.

With enough food, they would have more ti and energy to hunt wild beasts. At that ti, abandoning a beast’s carcass wouldn’t be painful.

For now, as long as there was no threat to life, they couldn’t just leave hunted animals in the wilderness.

Quickly, Xu Yi skinned it and handed it to Lu Ke.

There was still quite a bit of fat on it that needed to be scraped clean, so this task was entrusted to Lu Ke.

Xu Yi proceeded to open the tree sheep’s belly, then began to dissect and cut at.

An hour later, Xu Yi had cut off most of the at, leaving only a skeleton.

"Why aren’t there any fierce beasts around? We’re actually hoping for them to co," Lu Ke said sowhat disappointedly, holding so skewered roast at.

What she eagerly anticipated now was for so wolves to co, so she and Xu Yi could shoot them.

"Maybe there aren’t many fierce beasts around here, so let’s smoke the at and head back. Hopefully, on the way back, we’ll be lucky enough to catch one," Xu Yi, turning the roast at, said helplessly. Before, they feared an attack by fierce beasts; now, they’re actively seeking them out.

Perhaps this was the organizer’s goal—to change their mindset from passively hunting beasts to actively striking.

Thus, it would seem thrilling.

Otherwise, if everyone just stayed in camp, setting traps for beasts, things would be too bland.

"Mm, this at is tasty, more tender than the previous lamb, with so natural sweetness," Lu Ke comnted after eating a skewer of roast at.

Xu Yi nodded after tasting it; the sweetness was quite faint. However, perhaps because they usually ate bland food, their taste buds were more sensitive.

The tree sheep’s taste indeed surpassed lamb at.

"If roasted with the previous thod on the lamb leg, it would be even more delicious. Unfortunately, the lamb leg is only bones now," Lu Ke couldn’t help but reminisce about the roasted lamb leg they had that ti.

"Next ti we hunt a tree sheep, we’ll bring the leg back to roast," Xu Yi promised.

Suddenly, Xu Yi stood up.

"Get up the tree, quick," Xu Yi instructed Lu Ke.

Lu Ke tossed aside the skewer and hung her crossbow on her waist, starting to climb the tree.

"Quick, step on our shoulders more easily," Xu Yi said, crouching down.

He heard the low growl of animals approaching their direction.

Lu Ke imdiately stepped onto Xu Yi’s shoulders and climbed up.

Xu Yi strapped his hunting bow on his back and climbed the tree.

Quickly, Xu Yi saw so black shadows racing towards them.

These were animals Xu Yi had never seen before, emitting a fierce aura.

They were significantly larger than ordinary wolves, their fur very short, and the muscles of their limbs looked quite sturdy.

Upon arrival, they imdiately lunged at the tree sheep’s skeleton.

Then, Xu Yi heard the sound of bones being crushed.

Cold sweat broke out on Xu Yi’s forehead.

If they hadn’t heard the sounds, he and Lu Ke would have faced these three fierce beasts directly.

If they could crush large bones directly, what else could they be but fierce beasts?

Lu Ke stood on a branch, watching these three unnad beasts, then loosened her crossbow at her waist and aid at one of them.

Xu Yi imdiately made a pause gesture; he was still clinging to the trunk, unable to draw his bow.

Lu Ke killing these three beasts on her own was clearly unrealistic.

Hence, Xu Yi could only climb higher, find a suitable position, and then strike together with Lu Ke.

The mont Xu Yi climbed higher, the three animals noticed them and imdiately surrounded the tree they were on.

"Damn, their jumping ability is astonishing!"

"They’re jumping over a ter high, better than a human’s jumping ability."

"Luckily, they can’t climb trees, or Xu Yi and Lu Ke would be finished."

"Shoot at the mouth, Lu Ke lacks the sense of opportunity; the mouth is the softest spot—shoot through the throat, and it’s an instant kill."

"As if you were so skilled; if you were there, you’d probably wet your pants."

"Xu Yi better climb fast; if that one jumped up, it’d certainly bite off Xu Yi’s foot."

"Truly a close call; these beasts are terrifying."

"Luckily, Lu Ke was able to climb first; otherwise, they’d be eliminated today."

"Waiting for Xu Yi and Lu Ke to counterattack."

"I wonder how many points these beasts would be worth; surely not too few."

"Xu Yi has already drawn his bow; wondering if he’ll hit the beasts below."
