In less than two minutes, Xu Yi felt a strong wind above his head, causing the branches to sway wildly.

Fortunately, Xu Yi held on tight, otherwise, it would have been quite dangerous.

It tried to attack Xu Yi, but was repeatedly blocked by the branches.

"Wow, Xu Yi is so calm, isn’t he scared at all?"

"This giant bird is really a bit frightening."

"If we could ta it as a mount, we’d beco aerial archers directly!"

"Be grateful it doesn’t eat you. Ta it? What are you thinking?"

"This is so thrilling; this might be the closest Xu Yi has ever been to such a Flying Giant Beast, right?"

"If it were , I’d probably be so scared I’d fall right off."

"The mouth of this Flying Giant Beast is full of sharp teeth; definitely a top predator. Thankfully, the jungle provides protection, otherwise, it would be extrely dangerous!"

Xu Yi looked at the helpless Flying Beast and regretted not bringing the Hunting Bow with him. Otherwise, he might have been able to kill it.

Anyway, for now, he was relatively safe.

The Flying Beast made several successive attacks, but was blocked by the canopy each ti.

Although a bit worried, Xu Yi was still quite adept at moving downwards.

Coming down was much easier than going up, but it still took an hour to get down from the tree.

The Flying Beast was quite persistent; it was still circling the treetop, seemingly wanting to grab Xu Yi.

Xu Yi took a glance, then found the branch he had chopped off, and marked two directions accordingly. This way, he could smoothly locate the two different forest areas he saw from the treetop.

Glancing at the ti, it was 11:12. Xu Yi planned to head back first, have lunch, and then go to the forest which was just over an hour away.

"Lu Ke, it’s ." Xu Yi saw Lu Ke suddenly aim a crossbow in his direction and decided to call out to alert her.

Lu Ke heard Xu Yi’s voice, imdiately lowered the crossbow, and asked in surprise, "Back so soon? Did you find it?"

"Yeah, I climbed to the top of the tree and saw that a forest isn’t very far from here, looks like it would have smaller trees." Xu Yi explained, as it was safe now, and it was alright to let Lu Ke know.

"That’s quite close. I made so clay this morning, and the humidity was high." Lu Ke said, washed her hands, and was about to hand Xu Yi so water.

"No need, I haven’t finished my water." Xu Yi said, and then took out a bamboo tube from his satchel.

Xu Yi rested for a while, then had lunch with Lu Ke.

Then, Xu Yi returned to the tree he climbed in the morning. After confirming the direction from there, he proceeded towards the forest.

In 52 minutes, Xu Yi arrived at his target area.

The trees here were indeed very small, the large ones were as thick as basketballs, while the small ones were as thick as a bowl.

The ones with the thickness of a bowl fully t Xu Yi’s requirents.

So at this mont, he was quite happy. Although the place wasn’t very close to the camp, he could carry back the beams today.

Xu Yi chopped down two trees and carried them back.

Carrying three would have been a bit difficult for Xu Yi, so he planned to carry three on his next trip.

After all, four beams would be enough, carrying an extra one was to prevent unforeseen situations.

One round took a total of two hours and twenty minutes, so after carrying them back, Xu Yi set off imdiately again.

On the second trip, Xu Yi carried three beams, and it took him ten more minutes.

Lu Ke made good progress in the afternoon too, producing 20 clay bricks.

You could say, both of them were working hard for the new camp.

After dinner, neither Lu Ke nor Xu Yi rested.

Xu Yi used a ladder and a dagger to start carving holes into the side pillars. This way, they could insert the beams into the holes.

This took quite so ti, as there were very limited tools.

By 11 PM, Xu Yi had carved out three holes; after fitting in one beam, he went to rest.

After sleeping for a few hours, Xu Yi woke up.

The first thing Xu Yi did upon waking was check in, successfully completing 58 days of check-ins.

The next day, Xu Yi continued to dig holes.

By around 1 PM, Xu Yi had installed the lower beams. Afterwards, he began digging at the tops of the side pillars to install the top beams.

"Xu Yi, once we put wooden boards on the bottom, we can rest on top. That way, we don’t have to worry about animals coming at night." Lu Ke said happily, looking at Xu Yi’s small achievent.

"Yeah, the problem is we don’t have wooden boards now." Xu Yi said helplessly. If they had boards, they could rest on the hills tonight.

"No rush, it’s only been a few days, take it slow." Lu Ke thought that having such progress was quite good. After all, Xu Yi had been working really hard, not wasting a mont.

"True, looking at the situation, it shouldn’t rain these days, so we indeed have ti." Xu Yi said. His main worry was the rain.

Once it rains, temperatures drop, and the fire won’t burn, which would be really dangerous.

Lu Ke nodded in agreent with Xu Yi’s viewpoint.

Without rain, a few extra days don’t matter. But if it rains, then it’s really going to be too late.

"For the roof, I think we can use this tree bark. It’s pretty waterproof and thick." Lu Ke said, handing Xu Yi a piece of bark she peeled while working on a wooden bucket.

"Indeed, it’s pretty good. If we peel all the bark from these trees, it’ll be enough for a roof." Xu Yi nodded, thinking Lu Ke’s suggestion was reliable.

He hadn’t considered this before, mainly because he thought it might be too heavy, given they had to use it for over 400 days.

But thinking it over, Xu Yi felt they could always replace it if they found better materials later on.

For now, the priority was to build the camp, so they could have more ti for hunting.

He felt that his points weren’t enough to be in the lead; he needed to quickly finish the camp to free up ti for hunting.

Thus, Xu Yi grabbed his machete and went to peel bark. After all, it was only a bit past three, with so ti before darkness fell.

They worked until dinner ti, and after dinner, Xu Yi cut a knot-free bamboo to secure the bark.

At night, Xu Yi was peeling bark while Lu Ke was fastening the bark onto the bamboo strips.

In one night, they prepared enough bark to cover the roof. Tomorrow, they only needed to put it on top and secure it, and the roof would be done.

With a roof, they wouldn’t fear the rain.

Seeing the ti, Lu Ke noticed it was already 10:30 PM, so she thought of telling Xu Yi to rest.

However, a howling sound suddenly ca.

This ant Xu Yi might not be able to go to sleep.
