A small wild boar was rooting around below the camp, seemingly searching for food.

Xu Yi and Lu Ke imdiately took aim at the little boar and released their arrows.

How could they let such a delicious gift just walk away?

Both arrows hit, and the little boar collapsed instantly.

"Today is definitely our lucky day; not only did we earn points, but a tasty al delivered itself to us," Xu Yi laughed happily. This boar weighed at least 40 pounds.

"Today’s luck is truly unbelievable. I was thinking of making so boar skin shoes for you, and now it’s co to us," Lu Ke walked over joyfully, preparing to handle the boar carcass. It was only 5 o’clock, and there was plenty of ti.

"Don’t waste the pig’s blood; it’s delicious." While speaking, Xu Yi took out the pot and, while the boar was still alive, slit its throat to collect the blood.

"Hunting a wild boar, you earned 5 points." A notification sounded in both Xu Yi’s and Lu Ke’s minds.

"To get 5 points, not bad!" Xu Yi thought the boar wouldn’t be worth much, yet it scored 5 points.

With 563 points, Xu Yi felt they were ahead once more.

Despite having over five hundred points, Xu Yi and Lu Ke didn’t think about exchanging them for anything.

After all, the days ahead are long, and they’d have more chances for exchanges.

If they exchanged now and ran out of points, they’d regret it later in ergencies.

Lu Ke peeled off the boar’s skin and handed it to Xu Yi to fix in place.

"Xu Yi, let’s make so sausages. It’d be a waste not to with so much pork."

This is pork, after all, Lu Ke thought, and it would be a sha if it spoiled.

One pig intestine can hold all the at of a pig, so there’s no need to worry about running out of casings.

"Sure, let’s make so sausages. Once they’re done, we can slice and steam them; they’ll be delicious," Xu Yi said happily. His grandfather loved making sausages.

In winter, sausages with rice wine are exceptionally delightful.

Eating so before bed warms the whole body, and it doesn’t feel cold at all while sleeping.

This mory belonged to Xu Yi’s original self, but recalling it, he still felt cozy.

Unfortunately, his grandfather was no longer around.

Otherwise, seeing his excellent performance on the livestream would have made the old man proud.

"We might use up quite a bit of salt, though. We only have a little over three pounds left," Lu Ke remarked. To make so many sausages, at least a pound or two of salt would be needed.

"No problem, we’ll make a trip to the seaside in a few days to bring back a hundred or so pounds. Now that our baskets are well-sealed, we won’t lose any on the way," Xu Yi said. They’d definitely have to visit the seaside, as their salt wouldn’t last for 500 days.

Going late is worse than going early.

If it snows later, traveling far would be even more inconvenient.

While the weather is still good, camping outside isn’t too much of a problem, they should hurry and get it done.

"Sure, once I’ve finished my fur coat, let’s go together," Lu Ke suggested. Going to the seaside requires an overnight stay, even if running.

So the fur coat is crucial, allowing them to sleep outside.

Night temperatures have already dropped below 10 degrees, and it might get colder as ti goes on.

"It should be almost ready; I noticed the fox pelt is fully dry, and the wolf pelts aren’t far off," Xu Yi said, handing a wooden bucket to Lu Ke.

"Yeah, another two or three days at most. But after finishing the sausages, we’ll still need to conserve salt," Lu Ke said, packing the pig’s stomach and intestines to wash by the stream.

Xu Yi carved up the pork, needing to chop it into small pieces for sausage making.

He chopped off a leg for pig trotter soup, which they can enjoy tomorrow.

The rest of the at was prepared for sausage making.

The two of them worked until past seven o’clock before finishing for the day.

Xu Yi hadn’t finished chopping all the pork, but Lu Ke had already cleaned the pig’s stomach and intestines.

"After all this ti, we finally get to eat so pork," Lu Ke said, licking her lips at the sight of pig trotters in the pot.

Unfortunately, the seasonings were far too limited; otherwise, they could make even more delicious pork dishes.

"Yeah, it feels particularly difficult to go without pork for an extended ti," Xu Yi agreed, as pork has been a staple since childhood and simply missing it becos unbearable.

Unlike other ats, which don’t create such a longing.

You could go a year without eating chicken or duck, but not having pork for a year would be too much.

Unless you can’t eat it or have never eaten it before.

So, no matter how expensive, you’d still buy a pound or two of pork to satisfy the craving.

"Delicious, these pig trotters are really fragrant. Not fatty or greasy at all. Even with just a bit of salt, it’s really tasty," Xu Yi praised, munching on a piece of pig foot.

Lu Ke nodded as she ate, too engrossed to chat with Xu Yi.

After finishing one pot, they felt unsatisfied and cooked another.

Mostly because their steel pot was too small, and the Pottery pot wasn’t ready yet.

While the pig legs stewed, Xu Yi and Lu Ke continued chopping the remaining pork into pieces. Then they’d cure it with salt and stuff it into the intestines to be hung and dried.

Or it could be smoked.

Xu Yi and Lu Ke chose to smoke as it was faster, and they had gained so experience doing it now.

They worked until after ten, getting the sausages stuffed and hung for smoking.

Afterward, Lu Ke took a hot bath; once she was done, it was Xu Yi’s turn.

Then, they gathered in front of the fire to start crafting Pottery.

Tonight’s main productions were utensils, like pottery bowls and plates.

These weren’t challenging for Lu Ke anymore and were quickly made.

After making pottery, they sliced the pig’s heart, grilling it for a al.

This day was notably productive for Xu Yi and Lu Ke.

But before bed, they received so bad news.

A team had been eliminated.

Not by quitting, but through elimination. That ant both mbers had died.

Lying in bed, Lu Ke tossed and turned, unable to sleep.

The eliminated team was Team 76.

Lu Ke rembered them because they had stepped through the Star Gate just ahead of her and Xu Yi.
