Xu Yi was searching for suitable firewood in the jungle. After all, having just endured a heavy rainstorm, most of the firewood was wet, and finding sothing a bit drier wasn’t easy.

As he walked, Xu Yi suddenly found himself in front of a huge pit, with deep water inside.

However, Xu Yi saw sothing reflecting in the water.

"Is it tal?" Xu Yi’s eyes couldn’t help but light up.

If it was tal, he’d hit the jackpot!

After hesitating for a mont, Xu Yi decided to find a chance to go down and take a look.

However, he needed to find so vines first to make a rope. Otherwise, if he went down and couldn’t get back up, that would be embarrassing.

Not only embarrassing but it would also worry Lu Ke.

Luckily, there were plenty of vine plants on the island, and Xu Yi quickly managed to cut down two long vines.

This was even without the Engineer Shovel; if he had it, it would’ve been faster.

After tying the vines to a tree, Xu Yi tested it a bit.

The livestream audience was curious about what Xu Yi was planning to do.

"Excuse , what is Xu Yi planning to do? Is there food down there?"

"I don’t know either. I wasn’t paying attention just now. He said he ca to find firewood to cook so shells."

"Wow, Xu Yi and the others still have shells to eat?"

"Of course, this is an island. Isn’t it normal to find shells on the beach?"

"Not necessarily. Xu Yi and Loli Ke tried to find shells when they first landed, but they didn’t find any."

"There’s a difference between rich and poor beaches."

"..."

"Does anyone know what Xu Yi is doing? That pit looks really deep."

"It seems like there’s sothing shining in the water. Xu Yi went down to pick it up," said a viewer who knew the situation.

"It should be a teorite Crater. There might be tal."

"No way, is Xu Yi that lucky?"

"Isn’t that obvious? If he weren’t lucky, he wouldn’t have been selected. Of the 500 teams above, they’re all Children of Fortune."

While the livestream chat was buzzing with discussions, Xu Yi was already reaching the bottom.

"The water is so deep," Xu Yi noticed after descending that the water was already up to his neck.

Then, he took off his basket and secured it to the vine.

Taking a deep breath, Xu Yi dove down.

So heavy!

Xu Yi picked up an object about the size of two of his fists and erged from the water.

"Look quickly, Xu Yi just put sothing in his basket," soone in the livestream chat posted.

"It’s definitely tal, looks quite heavy, and has a high density."

"Xu Yi’s luck is really sothing, finding tal like that."

"I think it’s Loli Ke’s luck. Her words seem to be blessed. Maybe she just said Xu Yi would find treasure."

"Xu Yi sure is bold, not afraid of radiation."

Whether there’s radiation or not, Xu Yi couldn’t say, but he was sure this thing was non-toxic and harmless.

It was a gut feeling, coming from his experience with toxicity identification kits.

That’s why Xu Yi dared to pick it up.

Climbing back up, Xu Yi was particularly cautious, worried the vine might break.

Once on solid ground, Xu Yi breathed a sigh of relief.

He hadn’t seen it clearly at the bottom, so he took it out for a look.

"It should be pure tal, but I don’t know what kind," holding it, Xu Yi felt it was heavy, estimating it weighed over 20 pounds.

Now, Xu Yi hoped its lting point was low.

That way, Xu Yi could process it well.

He lacked many tools and weapons.

Such a large piece of tal could be used to forge a fine machete.

With a machete, everything would be much easier.

Not only could it be used for clearing paths, but also for self-defense, making tools, and so on.

There might even be so leftover to make a small dagger for Lu Ke, for self-defense or cutting vegetables.

Satisfied, Xu Yi put the unknown tal back in his basket, smiled happily, and continued to collect firewood.

After collecting for half an hour, Xu Yi filled his basket with firewood and headed back to the beach.

Lu Ke had already dried all the shells and had jumped down from a large rock to gather more.

While collecting shells, she occasionally glanced towards the jungle.

"Xu Yi!" Seeing Xu Yi erge, Lu Ke happily called out.

"I have firewood now. I’ll go pick up so stones to build a stove." When Xu Yi returned, he had seen many stones in one spot, just right for carrying back in his basket.

Of course, he also needed to put on his now-dried underwear; being in a vacuum state wasn’t ideal for facing Lu Ke.

Soon, Xu Yi brought back so stones.

Then, the two of them built a simple stove in a shady spot, started a fire, and began boiling the shells.

"Watch the fire. I’ll go saw so wood." Xu Yi took the Engineer Shovel and prepared to saw so shrubs to make molds.

After all, it’s better than doing nothing, might as well find sothing to do.

Lu Ke didn’t ask further; she stayed to tend to the fire and cook the shells.

The whole pot was filled with shells Lu Ke had just washed.

The sea water here was especially clear, with no pollution at all, incredibly clean.

If she didn’t mind being seen, she would have loved to swim in the sea.

Very soon, Xu Yi ca back with two shrubs.

"Xu Yi, we could often co to the beach to collect shells. We might even find crabs and fish," Lu Ke felt their chances of surviving 500 days were increasing. Being near the sea ant they could rely on it for food.

The sea held countless food resources.

Not only were there animals, but also plants.

For instance, seaweed and sea lettuce, both highly nutritious sea vegetables.

"Yeah, we could co earlier next ti, perhaps we’ll gather more," Xu Yi nodded and started carving.

"If conditions allow, we could build a small wooden hut by the sea as a base and sotis stay here," Xu Yi said while carving.

"A seaside house sounds exciting just imagining it," Lu Ke’s eyes lit up with little hearts as she seed to already envision it in her mind.

"No, no, when Loli Ke gets like this, I can’t handle it."

"Is this survival on an alien planet or am I watching a travel show?"

"I second that, it’s like a travel version of ’Let’s Fall in Love’, too much!"

At this mont, a red announcent suddenly appeared.

[Group 03 failed to complete the task on ti and lost the qualification for the challenge.]

The livestream room exploded, with everyone rushing to open Livestream Group 03 and finding it was already blacked out.

In the comnts, people were posting: "Liu Futong, safe travels, Cheng Jie, stay strong."

Then many asked what had happened.

It turned out that the Group 03 challengers were a couple. According to the livestream audience, they received a task from the start, requiring them to complete it within 70 hours.
